![Question](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
I am just trying to gauge the value of my car, i would be really interested to know peoples honest opinions in helping me decide whether to sell or not?
Spec: extras include remap by Richard Bulmer so that the car can run on Optimax without an octane booster
Genuine STI Mudflaps
WRC Carbon fibre wing mirrors ( still have originals)
Various carbon fibre bits and bobs under the bonnet, including slam panel, fuse box cover, air intake, belt cover.
S202 Logoed floor mats (not been trodden on)
Bronze titanium wheel nuts
The front of the car has been Armourfended, so no stonechips
5,550 miles
number 333/400
first registered in April 03
thanks

What did it cost when new Rasher? Ignore the extra's they were money down the drain when it comes to re-sale.
What's the difference in price when new from an 03STi with ppp? Then use the 03STi to guage the value of yours.

Thats a tough one rasher. Putting a price on something rare/special is near impossible allthough a phrase you'll hear a lot will be that
"it's only worth what someone will pay for it" Sounds awful but given the current car market it's true![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
My advice would be to price it knowing what the car owes you
(not including modds as we all know they don't add value
)
Put it at a price you'll be happy to let it go for and it'll soon become obvious if it's too high![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
good luck and prepare to field a million phonecalls from messers with no money

Rasher.
I'ts still an Impreza, it may be a special edition but so was the 555, the WR1 etc etc. You have to start somewhere with working out a re-sale cost. The only thing you can do that with is the standard car it was based on. If yours was £40K (ignoring mods) when new and an STi ppp was £27K. The STi is now worth £13K having retaining 48% of its value. Yours would be worth £19K based on this.
Mods such as re-maps don't generally increase the value of the car. They reduce the market drastically. Some people would be willing to pay more, most wont.

Dunno about price dude.. but i genuinely belive you have probably the finest 202 in the country. Post some pics for those that dont know
I doubt theres a better one.
Id guess at £20K... IMO.
Personally id rather have yours than a 22B

Can't compare it too 555, RB5, WR1 as it's so much more than a paint job and parts bin special.
About the only thing I can think of as a guide price is the 06 spec c ra which I believe are changing hands at around 28/29k second hand. Similar numbers produced, but you do have bear in mind that it's three generations newer.
There was a 3800 mile MY05 spec c ra on pistonheads recently for 21k

Finding a buyer is going to be more difficult than working out its value because no one knows what it is. Is it better or worse than an STI? Most people won't know or be bothered to find out. I don't mean to be rude, but to most people you have got a tarted up STI and there aren't many people who are prepared to spend £20,000 on a 4 year old one. By all means try for a private sale but I would be very tempted to ring around a few specialists and see if any of them are interested. I know you won't get as good a price, but you will get rid of it without any hassle. Good luck.

Due to mileage and rarity of this S202 I think that anyone who is in the market for one would rip your arm off at £17-18k. You only have to look on Auto Trader to see that there are not many of these beasts about, its just finding a buyer who really knows what a S202 is!

If the general feeling that you should start at 20K is correct - would you be happy to start asking 20 for it or would you be wanting more?
Given its rarity and mileage it should really only go to someone that is going to look after it as you have.

as its been said its what people are prepared to pay, for a absolute minter on low milage like that your prob gonna get collectors possibly looking at it.
but i think 20K is prob reasonable, but prob with that is gonna be the fact a 22b isn't much more.
personaly if i wanted a s202 and had the money yours would be the one to buy. best i've seen anywhere around

Nige,
Surprised that you thinking of selling - I agree with whats been said, probably the best 202 around (and I have one! which is also pretty darn good but with a few more miles and the odd stonechip) and £20k seems about right.
Are you looking at a newer model?
Good luck with the sale if that's what you decide.
Simon

Rasher.
Yours is an awesome car! Last Summer I was looking around for a S202 but couldn't sell my car at the time so it came to nothing. In the end I changed my mind & went for the one on the left. I would one day love to own a S202 though as they are so focused & extreme. Surely those of us that love Scoobs would all want one wouldn't we?
Re price, there was one for sale Summer 2006 for £18k? Not sure on it's year though or yours of course ...

these guys have had this one for over a year & they cant shift it they keep lowering the price, the get a hell of a lot of foot traffic in there every week, maybe someone should buy it & make a load of profit on it, i'm sure you could knock £1500- £2000 off the price for cash, Auto Trader Dealer Pages - Keighley Trade Sports & Performance
probably not as nice or in as good condition but its certainly food for thought
