My emails have just exploded as advertised on pistonheads as well. Just to be clear here for anyone showing interest. I am looking for a straight sale, I need/want to raise funds from the sale. The car is priced very realistically, so no more offers on cars claiming top dollar for them in PX against mine.

I might take a PX for a car truly valued at around 5K or less. Not a car you think is valued at 8K when its actually worth 5K etc.

I wont be taking offers on this car, and I won't be dropping the price any further.

If it makes anyone feel happier buying a car for less than the advertised price I will gladly re-advertise the car for 16K and take offers of 12.5K

Sorry to be a bit blunt.! But I am being brutally honest about the car, I don't really want to be selling it, and I think its on offer at a very good price.

So tempted, white is the best colour for these by miles. Only put off a little by the fact I drove an 8 last year with the intention of buying it, only to hate the driving experience of it!

What suspension is this running??

Suspension is very forgiving yet very capable. Its nothing like my old EVO5, which was rock hard and bangy and crashy. It drives just like a newage scoob, but handles much better

Scott.T took it for a long test drive last night, he could give you an unbiased opinion on what the suspension is like. As far as I am aware its stock suspension plus the strut braces.

The suspension is leagues above an EVO5/6 in terms if livability.

As mentioned above, Rob let me have a drive of this last night as he does with all his cars (top man).

Re:suspension... I thought it was very compliant and certainly not too hard for day-2-day driving. I drive a UK MY00 Classic Scoob and it wasn't alot different when cruising along in traffic. It's probably very similar to the later STi which I test drove a few months back.

Rob thinks it's standard, it may well be but it does look a little low for a standard car compared to the FQ360 we have here in the car park. So it may have a spring kit on it, but it certainly doesn't detract from the ride.

If my own Scoob wasn't such a minter, I would defo be tempted to snap this from Rob and defect to the dark side. But at this point in time I wouldn't let my car go for market value.

If I was running around in an old banger and had 12K in the bank I would of bought it last night......

Good luck with the sale Rob....but you know what I think..........NURSE.....NURSE.......get this man a NURSE.......

I can assure everyone that the exhaust note is interesting at 9 O'Clock at night when it is booted down a quiet residential street. It's certainly louder than Scott.Ts fully de-catted scoob when that goes by.

Rob, you liked it, you wanted, you bought it and now you're selling it, I think Sherrill will be calling in the men in white coats before long.

I think my comment to Jane was "whose that **** driving like a nutter",

To be honest I was at the back of the house and thought it was someone going round Hare Way. I frequently hear a flat 4 going round there at a somewhat irresponsible speed.

Scary thing is I put a resonated DECAT on it at the weekend in place of a straight through decat to help deaden down the sound. Might have a HKS resonated MID section fitted by the end of this weekend as well.

Its when you start setting off car alarms you know its really loud

I can vouch for Rob's eagle eye - he spotted a few things on one of my cars which I wouldnt have spotted.

Rob - I would have killed for a white Evo but you try finding one!

Hey Presto!

I also have a HKS Stainless manifold, that I might let go with the car. The Standard manifold although looks ugly will flow 450bhp. So only reason for fitting HKS would be for more bling under the bonnet.

Cheers Mark,

Cracking car, and probably being over critical as usual. The car is as near mint as you are ever going to get on a 2002 reg car. I keep looking at the car, and think I am being definately overcritical as it looks mint, and the paint on the bonnet, and bumpers is sooooooo close is hardly worth the mention.

At the price on offer I am really not that bothered is it don't sell. So happy to wait for as long as it take with this car.

Looks absolutly awesome, if I could get insured, I would have it, and I actually would have it. But for some reason, even on evo 260's insurance is around 6k for me, half the price of that on the scoob!

Can I ask, why you are selling so soon?

Cheers - All modifications declared for me insurance on this car is just £750 full comp - Age 36 from Adrian Flux. And didn't even shop around.

With regards to selling so soon without wishing to get into the finer details....very simply MONEY.!

Its not a dud if thats what anyone one is thinking, Any inspection welcome and bodywork would be classified as mint by about 80% of poeple (I have high standards).

The 2 minor imperfectoins I mention are booked in to be sorted by a professional Thursday next week. After this I would be happy to classify the car as mint. If someone wants the car prior to Thursday next week, I would give the contact details of the person booked to do the work and take the quoted price I have off the asking price. Can't say fairer than that.
