The original and still the best ECU for the pre 96 Scoob. For a WRX saloon running TD05 turbo and ideally decat.
Scott.t Is a good mate of mine and supplied this for me, but we are now looking at even bigger and better things for my scoob. So surplus to requirement. This particular example is twin chip on a board that then plugs into your ECU. This will fit all pre 96 ECUs and increase boost to circa 16psi, with better fueling and more appropriate timing for UK unleaded petrol.
Looking for £200 delivered.

It would make a BIG difference to a U8, as boost would be increased from just over 11psi to near 16psi. On the Z4 it would increase boost from 12.7psi to 16psi, so less of a jump but still noticeable.
This chip should see you in the region of 280bhp. With supporting mods with chip has seen better results than this.
U8 240bhp on jap fuel, Z4 260bhp on jap fuel.
So this should see you a min 40bhp jump from a U8, and 20bhp on a Z4.

But that said the half boost thing could be one of many things, non ECU related.
If everything else on your car is fine, this will not give you any trouble. Its been run im my car for a while, and run in many, many others. Its a proven chip.

That answers my question then - Dodgy ECU I suspect, there are plenty of them out there. There is only a handful of UK suppliers of this types of chips and Scott.T is one of the best if not the best IMHO. He has been doing it for years, I wouldn't hesitate to put my car in the hands of Scott.
