Default Complete STI8 TMIC kit for phase 2 - everything you need

Just taken this kit off my MY99 as I'm breaking it. It consists of:

STI 8 intercooler. VGC, few bent fins, no more
Y Piece
All Samco pipework and Jubilee clips
STI 8 dump valve
Modified left/right intercooler brackets
Modified scoop undertray (widened opening)

Complete bolt-on solution. This kit helped my impreza to 360bhp.

£350 for the lot plus postage, collection from Peterborough preferred.

Just what I'm after !

But £350 ? Last two intercoolers that sold here went for £200. The other stuff can't be worth £150 ?

Did those two intercoolers include the STI8 dump valve and samco hoses?

I guess if you want to fabricate your own brackets or spend time modifying the existing ones then you could save money by sourcing components separately, up to you. You could also modify your own undertray (this bit is not that hard to do).

I paid Zen Performance to modify the brackets, and also bought the scoop undertray from a fellow Snetter (911). The price simply reflects what I spent over and above the cost of the intercooler.

I'm selling a kit you just have to bolt on, saving several hours work. Either that's for you, or it isn't

I think it's quite reasonable, undertray for an STi 7 is about £45-50, samco hoses add say £30 (mine where about £75 new), oe dump valve £20, my y-piece sold for about £35, a bit for the brackets, bargain IMHO

Would the undertray require to be modified again to fit an 01 bug WRX ?

What's the benefit of the Samco hoses by the way ?

What year of STi did the TMIC come off ? (not up on the STi7, STi8 years of manufacture !)

Andy

Yes, in fact I'd say it wouldn't fit a bugeye (the tray). You'd be better off sourcing an STI7 one or modifying your own I'd think.

I might be prepared to split the kit...

What would be the difficulty in fitting it to a bug 01 WRX Carlos ? I would have thought there would be less space under the classic bonnet, or is that not the issue ?

IIRC the tray is a different shape on the newage cars - the one I'm offering fits the older scoop/hole in the bonnet.

The intercooler will fit fine, yes I'd think easier than a classic. I can't say whether the pipework I'm selling is suitable though - it's cut for my car which is a MY99.

Ok, cheers Carlos.

I'd rather buy TMIC and undertray togther if possible, because the undertrays don't seem to be sold separately so often.

GAZ-MAN - I think so, not sure though - perhaps someone more knowledgable than me can comment?

R5 GTT Steve - I think it's the clutch fluid reservoir that needs shortening - the brake reservoir is further away. I have an STI8 one (used on my car for this very purpose but not yet removed) which I can include in the price. It'll be the weekend before I get the chance to remove this though.

Andy

I paid $1 (that was after he declined my offer of $65) for one of these as they came up for auction rather than B-I-N. Well made, just need the rubber skirt of the standard undertray. Don't think it will fit under a standard scoop, but I'm spraying up my STi7 scoop as we speak.
