After only owning the car for 1 week the engine started to knock slightly, so the car has now been taken to a well known subaru specialist (scooby bits rotherham) for a complete engine rebuild. The cost of the repair is gonna be around the 2k mark which i will have the reciept to prove, it will also come with 12 months warranty. The engine will be new so it will need running in like any new car for around 1000 miles.Engine repair goes like this:
4 new piston rings
new standard big end bearings
new head gasket kit
new standard main bearings
strip decote cylinder heads
reface valve single
resurface cylinder block
reshim valve clearances
hone cylinder block
