1995 Volvo 850 T5 manual saloon £1250 Car based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. S40 3BQ

I bought this car with the intension of keeping it until it's death as a commuter and occasional family car – but circumstances have recently changed for me and I need to be cutting back on running costs.

I bought the car in August 2006 from a chap who runs the Performance Volvo Club. It has extensive service history, old tax discs and MOT's. It has MOT until September 5 2007 and has tax until April 2006. At the last MOT it had new rears discs and pads fitted, and I have had 2 antiroll bar links fitted. The car was serviced just before I got it and again in February by my local specialist.

The car was lowered from factory I have been lead to believe, and looking at the springs it could well be the case. It is an excellent package, no one looks twice at the car but has more than enough power in reserve and fantastic handling to boot.

So the car, it is metallic green, has some stone chips up front, some lacquer missing from the rear bumper. The nearside rear door has had a dent on the lower half of the door. Then someone without skill and talent has tried to push the panel out and failed. The door/window/lock works fine and it has not detrimental effect on the way it works.

I have removed the rear spoiler, but still have it and will be included in the sale. It has Michelin tyres all round in good order and a steel legal spare wheel. The interior is black half leather, wood dash, x4 electric windows, electric wing mirrors, electric tilt and slide sunroof, heated seats, on board computer, exterior temperature gauge, drivers airbag, SIPS, central locking, 8 speakers [getting on a bit now] with a lovely tape deck. Everything works, the car is great to drive and transports the wife and 3 kids in a safe environment.

KNOWN PROBLEMS:

The car is 12 year's old and is in remarkable order considering.

It has very recently stopped clocking the miles. The MOT's and services will guarantee the miles, but I am unsure what the cause is?
