Default Ecutec Tek 2

I'm selling my Ecutec Tek 2 ECU upgrade for MY 99-00 cars. It's Ecutek's "off the shelf" ECU, increasing boost, fuel, ignition etc. On my RB5 it made 291bhp with a full decat.

It's the whole box that is in the passenger footwell so you just unplug the original one and plug this one in!

£275.00

Cheers

Default Tek2 ECU

HI there.

Could you supply me with the exact details (make, type, etc) of your car and the mods you were running please?

I'm very interested but want to make sure that it would be compatible with my car before going ahead with the purchase.

Also who mapped the ECU?

Many thanks

Ben

99 Impreza turbo RB5 (no difference to a normal UK car engine wise).

TSL decat downpipe
TSL decat centre section
Prodrive back box
Green panel filter
Andy F TD04 hybrid turbo

It's not a map that is done to a specific car, but an "off the shelf" unit. There's one guy with an RB5 that's running 340bhp with this ECU and the fuelling is still correct for that.

It was supplied by Power Engineering in Uxbridge, where it made 291bhp on the rollers.

Many thanks,

Any idea what the difference is between a standard td04 and the Andy F one?

So if the ecu is an off the shelf item, I'm assuming it is not re-mappable and therefore has not got an open license with it?

Did you buy it new for your car?

Cheers

Ben

The Andy F's TD04 has a higher flow compressor and housing, so it doesn't run out of boost at higher revs.

I got it from a fellow RB5 owner who got it from Power Engineering and thought that it was "locked". However, when I had it on the rolling road at PE, they said they could custom map it to my car, but there was no point as it was fuelling etc fine.

Hope that helps.

Many thanks for all the info. I've just spoken to PE to confirm a few things.

Can you clear your inbox so I can PM you.

Cheers
