MY99 modified airbox, MAF, K&N panel filter & hose.

Many tuners recommend cutting a hole in the airbox for improved breathing (not to mention the induction noise). Buy the whole kit so you don't have to butcher your own airbox. This setup enabled my MY99 to reach over 360bhp with TD05, STI8 TMIC and other supporting mods. The MAF is in perfect working order.

Hi mate sorry to jump into your thread but is the mod just that dirty great hole in the side of the airbox? This wont cause any problems with the maf or anything?

I already have a spare airbox (was going to drill it!) so it would be pretty easy!

I have a my00 turbo so it should be the same principal!

No, the mod is that precision cut clean(ish) opening in the side of the air filter housing

Yep, easy to do yourself. Also a good idea to bend back the rubber on the leading edge of the bonnet above the O/S headlight, so the area gets a blast of cold air.

Regarding the MAF - the opening is upstream of the MAF, so it won't have any negative effect.

I am also throwing in the K&N filter, otherwise it'd be much cheaper/given away.
