JL Audio sub with Alpine mono block
JL Audio 15 W3 V2 Sub woofer
Alpine MRD1001 1000Watt RMS at 2 Ohm mono block amp
CNC Custom built twin ported box
Impulse 2 Farrad power cap
I bought these to install in a toyota hi lux where they gave awesome deep base. Having now sold the toyota and purchasing a much newer car they are not really suitable. The base from the twin ported box makes your nose itch when turned up loud, I had sound deadening material 3/4 of an inch thick in the boot and things still rattled under pressure. The new install will still require a sub but a smaller one, so further research is needed to determine which one.
The sub woofer is a JL Audio 15 inch twin voice coil.
The amp being an Alpine mono block speaks for its self.
The box is machine custom made not hand built.
The power cap stops the lights dimming, when the base kicks you...!
The grill is perspex and made on a cnc machine etched with the JL logo.
These items are quite large the box is 860 wide 500 deep and height is 450 at the back and 280 at the front.
The amp is 600 long and the speaker is 15 inches diameter. So I would prefer a pick up. But delivery could be arranged if required at additional cost.
