Thumbs up RARE *Black STi Version 3* original and very powerful (now with my e-mail address!)

Subaru Impreza STi Version 3

I have SOLD a powerful and well maintained mica black impreza STi version 3.
(GC8D4ED engine code)

When buying my car I wanted an original and not messed around with Black classic Sti in particular and after what seemed forever searching for one to come up for sale I found my dream car for sale at APi engines (pictures show it in fresh import state)

I was talking to David the owner of APi (very nice and helpful guy!) as soon as I could get there about this car, infact I knew I was going to have it from the start.
There were a few things he arranged to do to the car for me additional to the advert which I will list further down, I was mostly concerned about the engine being full of life, being strong and the mechanical side of things having a long life rather than worry about a few scuffs dotted around the car!

David duly got the car prepared to a superbly high standard and even commented on collection that it was surprisingly quick and nimble.

This was in December so has had all the following done within the last 6 months:
  • Full cambelt change and service (APi)
  • Brand new decat downpipe fitted (APi)
  • Brand new Exedy organic clutch fitted (APi)
  • Rear wheel bearings replaced (APi)
  • All fluids and oils changed and new filter fitted (APi)
  • Brand new genuine STi panel filter fitted (APi)
  • Rear foglight and interior switch fitted (APi)
  • Brand new number plates front and back (APi)
As you can see this car has had all the possible maintenance work and some more done at a/the most reputable subaru specialists in the UK to ensure a trouble free life.

Additional to all the work APi done to the car I have had a few other essential things done also:
  • Clifford Viper 480 xv (top of the range!) 2-way pager/alarm/immobiliser Cat1 security system fitted

Possibly the most important/expensive/sensible modification fitted also:
  • Apexi power FC mapped by the one and only Andy Forrest. A very highly regarded/respected subaru tuner in the UK.
  • Car is mapped for use with Shell optimax which is the only fuel its ever been fed since its import into the UK

Modifications to the car are limited to the work APi carried out and a FULL decat Kakimoto racing exhaust system (which I have since found out is very expensive and rare also). Also there are 2 Greddy A-pillar mounted gauges, one is boost and the other is oil temp (the oil temp gauge sump connector nut had a tiny leak so David blanked it but it could be reconnected if you could find one off of ebay or somewhere?!?). A small MOMO leather race steering wheel and also the rear and passenger windows have a light black tint to them.

Other than that the car has all the standard STi version 3 extras including:
  • Lightweight Aluminium bonnet
  • Lightweight Aluminium bootlid
  • STi carbon strut brace
  • STi stiched logo 'red wing' sports seats
  • mid level spoiler with integrated 3rd brake light
  • STi fog light covers with white typeface logo's
  • STi gold 5 spoke split edge alloys
  • Sti rear lights (red/grey)
  • STi badging bonnet/front wings/bootlid/instrument binacle
The engine bay is immaculate (ask any of the Herts subaru meet guys), intercooler has minimal/hardly any fins bent or damaged and the car has the flat 4 'burble/roar' in abundance.

I have probably forgot to mention lots of other good bits but as you can see it is a very nice car. It is also brutally quick and am sure it would see cars 10 times the price off from the line and in gear with ease.

I was sad to see this car go but needs must and I knew the first serious enquiry who saw it wouldnt walk away without buying it.

I know you wont find another the same as this with its 'pedigree' history/maintenance and sensible modifications whilst still being mostly original.

This is a rare properly fast subaru impreza
Cheers, Lee

Mileage as it stands today and have been asked by pm's is only 68'784 miles.

This coincides with the warranted mileage certificate I got from APi engines when I bought the car!

Cheers

Cheers for the comments everyone!

The car is also wearing 4x Yokohama Advan Neova AD05 tyres on the alloys, these I was told by ~DrEaM~ if I remember correctly that they are one of the best tyres available and are sold in Japan and the USA.

They have a half race/half street tread and to buy them is very expensive!

Something like that ^

Cheers

Refreshingly good ad for a lovely car.
Stock Sti's drive so very well on the road, and great to see a stock one still exists!
Smashing car for someone here.

Thanks for the comment, and coming from a man who has had more cars than Jamiroquai I feel pretty proud!

Yes, car is exactly as you last saw it, kakimoto 'n' all!

Just with new job role, I may have to do between 400 - 450 miles a week depending on where I am sent means an oil burner is on the menu

A sad, sad day when it roars off......

Cheers

Thats a very nice car Paul, I would probably have said yes if it had the comms pack, I had a 2002 model year 320ci se (2.2 6cyl) coupe before this car and they are very nice cars to drive, and yes a very high standard of build quality. When my car is sold I may just spend some wedge on a 320d with comms pack anyway!

Unless anyone else has any swap ideas or suggestions?

Cheers

A dashboard picture, almost standard as it left the factory, only the two dials in the driver side 'A' pillar and the small MOMO race steering wheel are the only modifications.

Everything is clean and neat and original.

As you can see, the interior is (almost) perfectly standard as the exterior is!

Any questions and I'll be happy to answer!
