I have no idea- i can only guess that a suretrak is a torsen type diff which uses fluid viscosity to lock up and the helical diff uses gearsets like the quaif ATB - but im only guessing - as to what this means on the road- i dont know.

Suretrak uses a ratcheting mechanism for the diff action, very hard to explain without pics but basically the diff drives some parallelogram shaped blocks, each output has a disc that locates on these blocks, during normal cornering the blocks slide in and out to allow the wheels to rotate at different speeds, but if there is a bug torque difference then they lock up, and looks like it should feel horrid, but it certainly works - nothing like a Viscous coupling though!
