This is a 1999 UK Impreza five door modified for fast road or trackday use with around 300bhp and 300lbft and upgraded brakes, suspension and safety equipment to match. It has had three owners, one a Scoobynet moderator, one for only four months and me.
It has 112,000 miles on the clock but only 34,500 on the new engine. MOT until August 07 and Tax until September 07.
Modifications include:
Engine
New engine at 77,500 miles due to MAF failure.
ECUtek3 and Remap
Janspeed Stainless Up-Pipe
Stainless Sports Cat (no need to swap for MOT)
3” Revolution Cat back exhaust (Whole system runs at under 100dB static so good for most trackdays)
VF35 Turbo
Walbro fuel pump
Walbro fuel regulator
3 port boost control solenoid
K&N panel filter
Transmission
Uprated AP Organic clutch (December 05)
Quickshift.
Suspension
Leda B adjustable coil over dampers all round, re-built in 05 with new springs all round and set-up by Thames Valley Motorsport
Cusco lower front brace
Cusco top front brace
Powerflex anti-roll bar mounts
Powerflex solid drop links
Brakes
CompBrake four pot callipers to front with 330mm discs on aluminium rotors
Hawk HP Plus track/race pads
Standard rear set-up with EBC Red Ceramic pads.
Braided stainless steel hoses all round
ATE Dot 4 Race Fluid
Wheels & Tyres
2 sets anthracite P1-WRC 17” by Prodrive/OZ. One near mint set on the car with almost new Pirelli P-Zero’s The other slightly better used set with Toyo T1-R’s that may have one trackday left in them. (Four wheels fit in the boot so you can take a set on your trackday and not worry about coming home on bald tyres)
Safety and Instrumentation
Six point bolt in roll cage, not currently fitted. I only fit this for trackdays. I have cut the trim internally so that less has to be removed to speed up fitting and removal. However, you can only see these changes when the mats are removed or the back seats are folded down.
Three Point Harness (E compliant so road legal) links to cage when fitted.
Fire extinguisher
Headlight covers
Knocklink (inconspicuously fitted in dash)
ABS cut out switch (for trackdays)
P1 HID spotlights (not working, currently investigating) with P1 Covers
SECS 1003 ECU Monitor (intermittent fault, currently investigating)
Cosmetics and… …stuff
Clear front indicators and side repeaters
P1 lip spoiler (small crack in this but an easy repair)
Bluetooth handsfree kit linked to stereo (sony CD)
Dealer fitted towbar and electrics
Subaru roof bars
Three roof mounted bike racks (hardly used)
Boot tray
Ice sensor (not fitted)
Lambda link (not fitted)
Spare wheel nuts,
Rose jointed rear damper mounts (not fitted)
Maintenance
Prior to my ownership it has a full service history, from dealers until the warranty expired and then specialists such as Scoobysport and Cool New. In December 05 it had a full service including cam belt, plugs. cam seals, clutch and all fluids replaced. It has only done 7,000 miles since and has had fully synthetic oil changes every six months or three trackdays whichever was the sooner. It has had an oil change (Mobil 1) and new rear pads and discs last month.
The condition of the car is pretty good for the age and miles, there is a little rust appearing on one wheel arch, the interior is generally good, a little lived in for a road car, fabulous for a track car. It has been a well used and well loved car and it wears it’s (few and minor) scars with pride. It still looks smart and has great road/track presence.
If you need one car that does the lot then this is it, fabulously quick on a back road, run with exotica on a fast road or track, get the shopping the next day and take the dog out too (dog guard included!).
£4,950 Or make me an offer for a quick and painless sale.

Hi Ian, Yes it is the original "Puff The Magic Wagon". The practical side has been replaced with a Land Rover. I'm hoping the maniac side can be replaced with a bike engined Kit Car. 'tis indeed a bargain as you say.

Thanks Puff.
Since then it has spent some time at Motorsports-events track days where it has mainly been annoying Westfields, Integrales, a 911 or three, Nobles and a Spec C 4 Door.
