Would love to have A/C in my MY99 wagon, and have even been to extent of calling a few dealers but all have said it's going to be around £1500!!! How easy is it to DIY? Are these ALL the necessary parts? Guessing I would need some place to gas it up?

Its quite easy to fit if you have all the bits ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
and yes it will need Gassing up, which is around 40-50 quid and takes about an hour to do
Have a look on Scoobypedia and search for air con, I added an article with the parts you need

Ahh ok, thanks will take a look.
I'm based around London, so Wakey's a bit of a trek for aircon! My g/f's Ma lives in Harrogate but not planning on heading up for a while yet otherwise I would have given you a buzz.
Out of interest what would you charge for AC installation? Am I getting a raw deal out of these dealers?

don,t charge for fitting , just show you how to do it and the best way to take skin off your knuckles. then stand back and say yeah that happens to me too!
fitting can be done in a good day!
1 hr for gassing up must be with an all in 1 machine.
using seperate nitrogen , vacuum pump and refrigerant take s a bit longer, just the two stages of vacuum take 10 mins , and 30 mins to be sure, then min 10 mins under nitro pressure.
not to mention a cuppa here and there
