RB5 (Prodrive)

RB5 WR Sport Pack 99 (T)
I shall be advertising this in the new year but thought I would give it a shot on here first. This car is standard and unmodified with the obvious exception of the PPP and Kenwood ICE with multichanger, 2-Owners full main agent history and a mere 78,000 Miles from new!. Yes I Know its high mileage but I think it represents pretty good value for someone like myself who only drives it at weekends and isnt going to put the miles on. It runs and drives as sweet as a nut and is in excellent condition apart from a couple of minor scatches and wheel scuffs. I am looking for only £14995 OVNO and may consider a P/Ex for a cheaper car, maybe an early WRX or WHY. If you are looking for a low mileage example, well, there is a NON PRODRIVE one on here at the moment for only £17500!. If you are interested then email as per my profile please

Come on then folks, is it too dear at £14995? I cant remember seeing a Prodrive one anywhere for under 15K except perhaps one that has been wrapped round a tree at some point. What do you think.
Just to remind you, I am prepared to take something in P/Ex if sensibly priced.

wots the parkers guide price for it with this mileage ?
seen any others advertised to compare prices ?
isnt post xmas a poor time to sell cars generally though ?
mileage will perhaps put some people off ?

You are absolutely right, this is probably not the ideal time to sell it and the meileage may put some people off but the bottom line is that this car is CHEAP. There are a few on here at the moment, another prodrive one at £18300 and non prodrives at £16500 and £17500 so there is quite a saving to be made.
It amazes me that many people actually believe that a modern car such as an Impreza suddenly becomes a liability when it reaches say 50000 miles. I did'nt give a second thought that this car had done over 70K when I bought it, why should I, I knew that I wasnt going to run the mileage up much more, the car had FSH and most importantly it was priced accordingly. I saved about £5000 over what I would have paid a main agent and I have not had a single problem with it.

so how long u had it ?
if u reckoning on its being someones second car (cos of the high miles) you are obviously cutting quite a bit the target audience of people who have 15k for a car thats only for weekends ?
still its a quality car - i'd luv one and considered trading in my MY00 6 months ago for one.
for me the colour is quite the best of any impreza ever.
and it does look cheap - i've just scanned subaru uk web site for rb5's !!! not cheap and all look to be non-wr's !
i think you are in the minority about mileages unfortunately les.
you might be better off keeping it for a couple of months and re-advertising in the spring ?
best of luck

I didnt think a main agent would be interested with this mileage but you are right they seem to get mega money for RB5's. upto £20K seems the norm for a WRS

I also run a high mileage scooby 110k now and it drives lovely. I dont think the general opinion is unreliability its that some people are scared they wont be able to get rid of it when they want to. What a lovely car though good luck with selling it. I have worked out the " book " price on the parkers website if you want it mail me.
