Subaru Impreza WRX Type RA (Race Altered).
The Subaru WRX RA was the first Impreza designed for serious racing purposes. It had the power output of the standard WRX of 240BHP, but was made to be much lighter and is fitted with the following:
The car was first registered in Japan on 01 January 1994 and imported from Japan on 05 July 05. I purchased the car from Oakley Village Cars on 27/08/05 for £4500. They replaced all discs and pads before I took the car.
The car is very clean and has a Cusco strut brace, Cusco exhaust, Bailey dump valve.
Since owning the car I had the following works completed.
With this power level and the shorter gearing its very quick off the mark.
The Mileage when I bought the car was 54,391.It now is 57843. It had no service history, but as with most imports, it is difficult to verify the mileage, so I purchased the car on its condition, which is very good.
My plan was to rebuild the car into the ultimate street subaru - but time constraints and business comitments did not allow me to start this process, so I bought another Subaru instead which has already been modified to my requirements.
This car has remained in my warehouse mostly unused for 18 months. I have now MOTed the car today (18th July) and its up for sale as I have too many cars and not enough Warehouse space!!!
The interior is very clean - no rips tears or burns anywhere.
The exterior has a few chips on the front bumper and a few small bubbles on the rear arch but nothing major for a 13 year old car.
Mechanically its fine, using no oil.
Since fitting the modified ECU, I noticed the clutch slipping in the higher gears, so a new clutch will be required soon, although its perfectly fine for normal use.
I am not interested in part exchange as I have too many cars at present.
Any trial is welcome - I am based in Docklands East London - but no time wasters/ joy riders please.
Payment is Cash, or Bankers Draft- which will have to clear before the vehicle is released.
£3000
