Default Type r Bits, gearbox, short motor and more

Hi,

I'm currently arranging to have a PPG gearbox upgrade and a few engine mods also . This will leave me with the following bits up for sale:-

Sti ver 3-4 short motor built by Api 3 years ago (approx 25k miles done) ready to go. - £700 ono

1/2 of an sti type r gearbox (No DCCD) TY752 VB5CA (works fine with no issues, only selling as PPG gearset won't fit into this box! Doh) - £400 ono

N.B - The above bits will be available in about 1-2weeks time max. Will update as and when.

Also have the following bits ready now: -
440cc injectors - again only removed due to larger ones being needed, worked perfectly well. - £80
A standard top mount intercooler - SOLD
A set of 22B style vents (black) - SOLD
STi ver 4 standard reclining front seats - SOLD
1 x set of standard headers (heatshields removed) - Offers
1 x set of ported & wrapped headers (Misplaced the up-pipe & link pipe, can use existing ones though!) - SOLD
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...v/IMG_1395.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...v/IMG_1394.jpg
The above pictures show mine compared to standard, as you will see they have been opened up to match the gaskets.... unlike the factory ones!!
More pictures of the headers available on request. Will also include 2 x genuine gaskets that have been tightened once.

Standard boot lid (black) - Offers
1 x standard set of sti alloys (gold 6 spokes - good tread) - offers
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...v/IMG_1297.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...v/IMG_1296.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...v/IMG_1298.jpg
1 x Standard set of impreza wheels (same design as above in silver no tyres - need refurbing) - Gone

I would prefer collection on most items if pos. as they are quite hefty, but can arrange delivery at cost or you can arrange one yourself! (I will package any item up if you arrange your own collection method)

The gearbox and short block will be available for collection @ API or delivered if required.

I don't have pictures of all the bits with me, but will post some up soon.

If you have any questions or feel like making an offer on any of the above feel free to PM me.

Thanks

P.S. All other bits are just outside Bourenmouth, Dorset.

Why doesn't the PPG gearset fit into the 752 case?

Did you order the parts for a 754 by mistake, or is it a case of the 752 kit not in stock?

There is - or was - a gearset for the TY752 from PPG but the problem with 752 is that the case is very weak and stretches, which means that the gears can move out of mesh.

When there is a better alternative in the later box, why waste money putting good gears in a dodgy case.?

TY754 every time. [ or 6 speed if it is appropriate ]

David APi

PS gears from as 752 will not fit 754 and vice versa

TY754 VB1CA 4.4:1 final drives Dccd with 65 x 35 split

Perfect for a PPG.

Just remember APi when you need it done.

Hi, I'm looking for two things for my 2.0S Turbo Forester (2001), do you have these and if so what do you want for them?

2. Top mount IC and dump valve (from sti ideally)

whereabouts are you?

I have found the 752 to be no more or less reliable than a 754 case. However the internals of the 754 case are worth having in themselves for the better synchros and hubs.
