Not being funny mate but may be it is slightly over priced, I have seen two 1999 STI Type R's for sale one for £13.995 & the other offers around £14,000.
I would of been interested had the price been lower and it not being white.

Have a look at www.sidc.co.uk/faq.htm for facts and figures on the STiV Type R. They are quoted as 300 bhp but I think 280 is nearer the mark, 0-60 is quicker than a UK car but I wouldn't like to quote a figure (Somewhere between 4.5 and 5.5 at a guess)

I dont think that is too expensive, just cos cheaoper examples exist it doesnt make this expensive, but it migth make them bargains.
Tested performance is indeed 0-62mph in 4.3 secs. In standard form.

Why is everybody so afraid of talking to people nowadays, Dave hasn't had one single call on this car, even though people have loads of questions for him.

But John its already a competitive price, he isn't going to keep dropping lower on this bbs, for you to want to knock him down further when you ring, there has to be some room for negotiation. I know the market is difficult at the moment, but this car is in superb condition, 37000 miles is hardly high, and 14500 is probably about 1500 below forecourt price. remember as somebody said above, this is basically a P1 but faster, and how many P1's are for sale at 14500 (or under 20000 for that matter)

But that's the point £1500 below dealer price for a car which is already suffering badly from depreciation in a very fragile market. The colour would also put a lot of people off as would the fact that no mods at all means they're not getting anything thrown in. I spoke to a guy who might be selling a grey Sti V type-r with 36k, leda c suspension and full scoobysport exhaust, well looked after and one owner from new for 15k. 14.5k unfortunately is too much money. Hell, if I thought it was a bargain then I'd be ringing as I'm looking for a car for when I sell the saab I've got up for sale here. As it is I'm not paying the going rate for an STI type-r if it's in an undesirable colour.
Only my thoughts but I feel they're relevant.

Ross, the car is in Princes Risborough during the day and Aylesbury at night. I am sure Dave will have no objection to any inspection you want to have done. He runs a garage (not car sales!) so has a ramp you can use and any tools! Give him a ring on 01844 274652
