Unhappy Possibly selling my new spoiler :(

I have literally just bought a WRC (replica) rear spoiler for my classic. I was told it would dit from a 96 upwards. I have a 93 so thought that would be ok as the boots on the classic were the same! (I may be wrong). Anyway, it don't fit and it might need a bit too much work for me to make it fit so it may be up for sale. I actually think it fits a bugeye and maybe onwards

Pick off the car

Resting on the car

And with the gap

It is new and never been fitted. It comes with a fitting kit and led brake light. Its a shame as i really like it but it may need to go

Offers please

That looks like an STI5 spoiler. I have one fitted, it also had a gap of about 5mm. I used window draught excluder from B&Q to seat the spoiler on. Then when it was fitted I filled the gap with silicone.

The bloke I bought it off reckons it was a WRC spoiler. Now someone else from here told me it looked like an STi5 spoiler before I had a look at it. But it just don't look right tbh and I really don't want to mess about too much with it
Was any of the holes lined up with the holes in your boot?

its like half and half. the top half is very sti5/6, whereas the bottom half is defo new age, sti8 perhaps? its the squareness of the bottom that gives it away.

Well I have a friend coming round later and he reckons it will fit So we shall see about it then. The other thing with it is as you can see the bottom does stick out over the edges

So this is up for sale. It can be seen up close if you come to collect before you buy

It looks like it will fit either a bugeye or blobeye (maybe both, I don't know)! Not 100% sure as I don't have a boot lid from either to match it up to
