After the recent spate of offs on track days, I cant think of a better purchase for the track day enthusiast. Unfortunately I cant afford a trackday at the mo, let alone a roll cage!

Mellow,
how much of a hindrance is the full roll cage on the normal use of the car. Does the presence of the cage mean for safety you have to wear a crash helmet at all times.
Surely the welding brackets will create permanent damage to the shell?

Adam,
I'm getting closer to taking my car towards a dedicated track day car, similar to how Pete's used to be (still is) and will involve me having the car stripped and prepared accordingly.....I've been looking for a suitable donor vehicle to make into such a car but have had no luck or otherwise I'd have to spend lots just to get it similar, so, I have the option of a full cage and am still debating the matter....if a donor car comes along then I will go no further with the P1 and in fact put it back to std form hence the cage and other bits would be surplus.....we'll see.
