Selling my Subaru Impreza Sport 2.0

The car is a 1998 (S Reg) Subaru Impreza Sport 2.0 UK NONE TURBO 4 Wheel Drive. Silver

Taxed until – 01/02/2008 (3 months remaining)
MOT’d until – 01/05/2008 (6 months remaining)
Current Mileage – 110,750 Miles (this will be slighty increased by about 50-100 miles at the time of sale as I am still using the car till Friday)


The car has had so much money spent on it including:-
- Timing Belt Changed at 103,627 Miles (£134.54) Receipt to Prove
- Thatcham Cat-1 Alarm + Immobilizer with Remote Central locking (including installation certificate) (£299) Receipt to Prove
- New Front Disks and Pads (£56.49) Receipt to prove
- Sony CD Player (£79.99) Receipt to prove
- Borla (replica) Exhaust Manifold (had it imported from America) (£180) Receipt to prove (SEE PIC)
- Turbo Back box (£90) no receipt
- WRX STi mid level rear Spoiler (£90) No receipt
- Turbo 2000 Interior (front AND rear seats) (£250) no receipt
- WRX STi Front lip (£95) no receipt
- Front, side & rear lower trims color coded to match car (£100) no receipt
- Brand New Key cut as the old one was worn (£65) no receipt
TOTAL = £1440.02

Good bits:-
- Overall Tidy car
- Starts first time, drives fine, (been my daily runner and never let me down)
- The exhaust manifold makes it sound like a turbo, gives it that rumble.
- Turbo Interior gives it that sporty feel, the seats are lovely (no rips or burns)
- Timing belt changed
- Alarm + Immobilizer + Remote Central locking + 2 key fobs + Install certificate
- Cheap insurance as none turbo + even cheaper with alarm and Certificate
- Sounds just like a turbo
- 4 wheel drive
- Flew through the last MOT, only needed a back brake bulb (receipt to prove)
- I am only the 2’nd owner of the car

Bad Bits :-
- Engine has an oil leak (front crank seal) common on Impreza’s, sometimes when on motorways the oil drips land on the manifold and it smokes, this is just oil burning on the manifold – can be cured by getting a new crank seal (the leak is SLOW – I top the car up with oil once a month) Local garage quoted me £180 to fix.
- The engine does sound a bit tappy (top end, from the cams or lifters). Probably wants a complete service? (still pulls like a train)
- Few marks around the car, car park dings e.t.c one NEW dent on the drivers back quarter, nothing major.
- No Service history with the car unfortunately

Please note – The wheels on the car are Toyota Wheels, they are a perfect fit and the car drives spot on with them. I put them on as it had alloys on but I took these off as I spent too much money on refurbishing them. Just thought it was worth mentioning – Tyres are all fine, good tread all-round.

The car starts, drives and can be driven away by the winning bidder. I have had the car since 06/03/2007 but have decided to sell it as I fancy a change.
