The current owner upgraded to a sti v spec spoiler so I bought it for £75, my work mate has a my98 with low level spoiler and is well jealous of mine! he wants one also, but will not pay a high cost as he realised how much i got mine for..

Sounds like u got very lucky but !!!!!!!!!, even normal low level spoilers go for £65-£75, so he's gonna need to stick his hand in his pocket if he wants one.

Sounds about right, if your m8's that tight give him the low level spoiler to stick on top of his existing one and he's got a cheap conversion and he'll be the only one with it on !!!!!!!

Just to add salt to the wounds :
I bought a genuine Ex RB5 spoiler for £80 as the owner had Prodrived his RB5.
On the subject of Patern and Genuine. I have had both over the years and there ain't alot of difference.
The only noticable difference was :
Pattern one came with screws
Genuine one had bolts molded onto the spoiler
Slightly different brake light.
As DRM sell painted copies for £195 I think u need to drop your price a tad, unless u can find someone whoo specifically want Sonic Blue.

Have you seen the cost of a new genuine high level sti4 type spoiler though...£468+vat from GG
I reckon its worth every penny of the £175 being asked, specially its its already the required colour anyway.
