![Question](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Not sure if I'm going to be selling it or not, but figured I there would be no harm in posting to gauge interest.
MY00 - 15,000 miles run on a min of 97RON fuel, normally SUL + Octane Booster
Colour Coded Skirts
17" Wheels (Stilauto SR500) (original 16" included)
StiV5 Rear Wing
Cliford Cat 1 Alarm
Tracker (Monitor)
Minidisc Head Unit
Note: It's a UK Spec Euro Import - June 2000 (I collected it myself, hence can guarantee it has been run with the utmost care, never switched off without idle of at least 1 min (even if just moving it 20 feet) etc.)
![](http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robertio/sale05.jpg)
Currently has a scratch (someone keyed the panel
):
![](http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robertio/Scratch.jpg)
And a small mark behind the rear passenger wheel.
For this reason there would be 2 prices:
As Is: £13,000
Marks sorted out: £13,500
Both ovvvvno
More picts can be found on:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robertio/
type onto the url: 'sale01.jpg'...'sale05.jpg' for other images (will put a link to them later)

To save me typing these answers in any more e-mails ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
No other mods (unless you classify uprated headlight & sidelight bulbs)
Based in Glasgow (somewhere up near Iceland I believe
)
Don't have the original spoiler, if anyone knows who does then please point them in this direction, as I have been looking for it since around a year last September when it went walk-about![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Has FSH (last service at AWD motorsport, trained Subaru mechanics, and where it will be getting serviced from now on if I keep it.) Previous services - 1,000 - 7,500 - 15,000 all at Subaru dealers. The 22,500 one was done at the start of December.
Tyres on the car all have lots of tread (Bridgestone S03s), the 16" (std RELs)are legal, if not by a lot.
It does not have aircon.
Regarding the availability: if you want it for the price above you can have it tomorrow, if you want it for less than that, then it is not for sale. Happy to sell it, happy not to![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
It has been on one track day - around a sprint track where 3rd gear was only attainable briefly on one straight. Has also been on driving development days with Dan Palmer at Bruntingthorpe & MIRA.
Cheers

Thats one lovely looking car, nice wheels (class), I am not in the market for one as I have a MY00 myself.
Just VERY distressed at the £13,000 - thats because its an import I suppose? (and everyone knows you only paid £5:99 for it!
)Mine is a UK model so I should be saved from that massive hit? I HOPE! ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Very nice looking car though mate!
Oh, yes, how did you get the skirts painted? did you do it? how easy is it to get them off if you need to take them to a paint shop?
Pete

Pete, thanks for the comments ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
The skirts were done for me through DR Motorsport (up here in Scotland) The side ones were simple to get off, just a few screws along the bottom, the rear ones were an absolute sod, I'd recommend that if you can, you put the car into the paint shop, and get the back ones done while they are on the car. If you try to take them off yourself it is useful to know that once you have taken all the screws out, rotate them through 90 degrees & slide off. Getting them back on was even worse, I just couldn't do it, and ended up getting a dealer to fit them for me. Also worth noting they had to put 7 layers of primer one before painting mine![Embarrassment](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/redface.gif)
BTW, I'd say a UK car of the same spec would be worth 1,200 (ish) more![EEK!](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/eek.gif)

on the contrary mr Robertio as your car is Identical to a UK car but lacking a year and a half warranty , I'd say it is worth around £500-600 less, tops enough to buy a warranty . you just bought it in the right place . thats my theory ..... nice looking car sorry about the scratch.
Oh and by the way mine is a little older and 5 door but slightly more milage with AIR CON , plus not based in Alaska !!!!
plug, plug, plug, See other add, plug, plug, plug!!!

Its a must for a first time scooby buyer, a uk spec car at 13.5k is excellent
and if you think that the car is approx 18months old your getting the performance bargain of the century! ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Id sell my MY00 euro import for a little more mind, with 19k on the clock but it is a PPP and has aircon, dont worry about the warranty, 500 quid gets you a 2 yr one so it comes in line with a uk car (which would sell std for the same as i would sell mine modified!, approx 15k) but as im not selling (yet cos i cant afford the sti at this moment in time) and if i was buying then this would be an excellent choice![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I can answer that one for you - makes not one jot of difference.
They are exactly the same spec and performance as UK models (or usually better specced) and are just the same price to repair, therefore insurance companies don't load them in the same way as Japanese imports.

Sempers, Chris is correct, to 99% of insurance compaies it makes no difference, I phone around all of them every year, and only found one that had any problem with it being a Euro import.

how the hell do these myths about "imports" come about . for the last time . A Dutch car comes of the ship from Japan at Rotterdam ( I'm Guesing ) The Uk car then comes of the same ship at Felixstowe ( Guesing again ) IM buy a 2 year extended warranty from a third party insurer , just like you can , stick a 2000 turbo badge on and charge you 3-4 Grand for it .
PS all Euro cars now have a 2 year warranty as of jan 1st

I bought my MY00 turbo from a Subaru dealer in Holland, it was easy. On the road including the VAT, trip to Holland blah blah blah it cost around £16,000.
Its got 15k on it now and immaculate, a lad at work who knows how well I look after it offered me fourteen and a half just a couple of months ago!!!!. I didnt take it. I would have done if I liked the new one as I would have gone straight back to Holland and got another.
Ive made initial inqueries about the Sti in Holland, it will be there but not sure when, I expect to get one for around 20k all in.
I'll let you all know when I get some more news.
