White Type R (V4) FS
I'll start by saying that this is a very, very regrettable sale but I see no point in owning a car that is only just used for the odd shopping trip, school run and ad hoc meetings.
Photos appear at the bottom of the ad.
You can see more photos in view my scooby but let me tell you more about the car.
Its a 1997 Impreza STI Type R which can only be described as very near immaculate. The current odometer reading is 70,361 which is so far below average for its age.
The MOT runs until 8th June 2008 and Tax runs until December 2008. The car has travelled less than 3,000 miles since the MOT
I've had the car since November 2005 and has undergone a number of changes to improve my ownership experience.
Below is a summary of what has been completed:
Engine
API rebuild in 2006
TD-05 16G Andy Forrest Turbo
550 injectors
Apexi Power FC with controller. Mapped by API on Tesco 99
Front Mounted Intercooler with STI water spray retained
HKS complete exhaust System
Unequal length tubular headers
Induction kit
Forge recirculating BOV
Rear Diff replaced in June 2007
**All major work has been carried out by API**
Interior / Exterior
Front scoop replaced with heat extraction vent
STI V Ltd blue seats embossed with STI
Multi gauge pod has replaced the centre dash cubby box
Version 5 front bumper with fog covers
P1 Rear spoiler (It looks fantastic)
17" TSW wheels in gold
Cat 1 Alarm and immobiliser.
I'm unsure of the power output but David at API has seen fit to stick on his API 350 badges. The above spec in theory should deliver this.
I've got alot of ownership history since I've owned the car and lets just say its history before me was very dubious to say the least. This is all very tidy now and shows how the car has progressed.
I'm a very careful owner who has always warmed up and cooled down the car before and after use.
A local firm has mantained the car and taken on minor jobs such as oil changes and small faults.
As with all cars of this age there are some very minor bad points. One of the wheels has been kerbed but its not too bad and one of the A pilar trims is ever so slightly loose. That really is it.
I'm putting the car up for £7,500 which I feel is a very fair price considering what has been achieved in the few years I've had it. You will also get a Subaru umbrella, coffee mug and key ring.
I must finally add that I will only offer test drives to those with adequate insurance cover as this is an expensive and potent toy.
Eshan 07984 002415 if you have further question about the car.

I can't belive how much these have dropped in value!!!!!
When I bought mine I payed £14,500 and that was 4 years ago. There was me thinking that it'd gone through the worst of the depreciation.
It's worth £7,500 all day long IMO

Thanks so much for the interest. The car is worth so much more to me in time and effort but I'm afraid its the market value for the car and I have to accept that.
I drove it less than 4 miles today. Oh the joy .
Had minor interest at this stage but some is better than none.
£7,500 and worth every penny
