Hi,
The time has come and I will be heading back to Australia in early April.
As such, I have to sell my beloved scooby.
I am looking to sell the car ideally in the first or second week of March, before I head of for the Catalunya rally
I'd be very interested to hear from anybody who might be looking to buy around that time and is interested in the car.
OK, on with the specs.
MY99 UK Turbo 2000
Dark Green in colour
Currently 30.5K miles, estimate 32K miles max come sale time.
FSSH, just had 30 month service.
Air Con
Sunroof
Scoobysport backbox
17" Speedline GT1 wheels with Toyo T1s (stacks of tread left)
Boost gauge in a-pillar pod
Black Diamond cross drilled front discs with EBC greenstuff pads
I am asking in the region of 13K, but am open to offers.
Please reply on this thread or email me directly at awilcockson@hotmail.com
Thanks,
Andrew.
Edited for slightly smaller pictures
Edited again to say that I have the standard front discs/pads and standard back box if required.
Edited once again to lower the asking price.

If it was DBM colour, I'd be booking my slot. Not so fond of the green. Anyone else know someone with same sort of spec who'll be wanting to get rid of one around then and isn't too far away from down south (see my location)?
(Job) circumstances have changed a bit since I first started looking before Xmas.

Hi Breezer,
You don't really want DBM, I used to own one and it used to get stone chips far too easily.
Green is the colour to get, and apart from looking the best, it blends in well with the traffic as well
Don't be put off by the distance either, easyJet do very cheap fares to Edinburgh, and think of the fun you'll have driving it back home
Andrew.

You mean blue actually attracts stones more than green?? Do they ? put some special chemical in it or something ;-))
Or that it's not as thick/strong paint, or that it shows up more?
Colour preferance is personal, and being just that I'll stick with liking the look of blue better than green (never been that fond of green anything - although I do eat my greens). The order probably goes DBM, the lighter/other coloured blues, red, black, silver, green, white. Although if the perfect car came along otherwise at a great price, I could accept almost any colour. I'd be interested to see a very dark purple kind of colour or maroon-ish but we don't get that option short of a custom respray.

Breezer, not noticed the tendency for stone chips on my DBM and I do a fair few miles. I'll be selling it soon though as I'm doing FAR too many miles at the mo. MY00, 35k, FSSH, AC, WRsport exhaust, and WRX Version 5 wing (so I'm told).
If anyones interested , feel free to mail me or reply here.

Breezer, I got more stone chips in the three months that I owned the DBM impreza than in the year that I have owned the green one
Lots of others have remarked that the DBM paint is soft and seems to stone chip easily.
I can understand where you are coming from on personal preferences for colour though, there is absolutely no way that I could buy a white or silver car
Oi Mike, get yer own thread and stop highjacking mine
Andrew.

I've a green MY99 (same as the one for sale here but not as clean!), and have to agree that it doesn't seem to stone chip as easily. 'Touch wood' but I don't have any and have done 32k miles.

btt,
Really need to sell this car
I have lowered the asking price and I am willing to listen to offers.
I've just spent the best part of Saturday re-wax wizarding her and she looks just as good as the photos
If nobody has made an offer by the end of the 1st week in March then she's of to the dealers
Andrew.

Forgot to mention.
Had the clutch replaced under warranty around 8 months/8K miles ago, due to clutch judder. Clutch should be good for a good many more miles, as I spend a fair amount of my time on the motorway
Car is still under the original Subaru warranty until the end of May, and this warranty can be extended.
Thanks,
Andrew.

Anyone even remotely interested ?
I don't want to sell to the dealer. Last Impreza I sold went to the dealer for £13K and was on the yard the next day for £16K

I really do have to sell, so come on, someone make me an offer
Otherwise I'm going to have to sell it to a dealer who is going to chuck it on the yard for an extra 3 grand.
Andrew.
