2001 Bugeye WRX with PPP for sale
PRICE REDUCED TO £6,000
I am selling my 2001 Subaru Impreza WRX bugeye - which has the PPP (Prodrive Performance Pack). BHP is then around 250.
Performance is awesome and with the PPP the pickup is smooth and the power just keeps coming.
History:
- Mileage is a little over 63,000.
- Full Subaru and Scooby Clinic service history.
- Last major service was late October 2006, with new brakes and mud flaps.
- New oil and check-over by local garage when MOT'd April '07.
- Car has had 3 owners. Each owning for 2 years or so.
- Service book stamped at 1079, 6180, 19625, 26679, 34336, 42232 then I had it serviced with Scooby Clinic at around 51,000, and then MOT'd and service and it must have been around 55k.
- MOT until 04/2008.
- Tax until end of June 2008.
Wheels:
- Mintex pads and braided hoses (fitted late Oct 2006)
- Currently on 18" Fox Racing Evo-3 Gold 18-spoke alloys, although tyres aren't great. Original 17" Subaru alloys with Bridgestones, which I must admit feel better to drive on – though this may be the more superior tyres? Both sets are included in sale.
Exterior:
- Rally-style UK300 Morette quad headlights (the black surround style)
- Lexus-style rear-lights (although slightly darker background - like new hawkeye rear lights)
- Carbon-effect £150 mud flaps from Scooby Clinic
- Standard UK low spoiler. I also have a high-mounted spoiler (needs spraying) which has space for a rear light, but I don't have the parts.
Security:
- Tracker - RAC Trackstar II 24hr Protector (which is transferable)
Engine:
- Up rated exhaust system with WR Sport back box and STI centre section
- Pro-drive ECU
- Large APS top-mounted intercooler
- Upgraded fuel pump and boost controller
- Re-circulating dump-valve
Parts:
- As mentioned the sale includes original wheels and spoiler.
- I will also pass on the bug-eye lights and original intercooler and fuel pump etc.
- When I purchased the car I was also given a piece of kit to measure temperature of oil and water and to do allsorts. I think it cost the previous owner a fair packet but I've never used it and not sure what the hell it is really.

I live in South Leicestershire and work in Milton Keynes.
Reason for sale:
Various really; as I love the car but just can't justify putting 70-odd miles per day commuting with petrol prices so extreme. We've also just had a baby as well as a new central heating boiler at nearly £2k! Gonna have to get a cheap diesel run-around for a while I think!
The scoob is in immaculate condition inside and out, with only a few marks on bodywork (one on spoiler, small mark on wing-mirror and the odd kerb-scrape on wheels). In all honesty the car is due a service and new brakes, but I am more than happy to anyone AA/RAC-check it. All HPi clear (I checked and had AA check when i brought it).
Any testdrives will need proof of insurance.
