Unhappy

1993 WRX silver
Excellent pre accident condition.
Not through insurance, so as not to hike my premiums, so not on any register.
Need a car quick, so got to free up some money.
Its got, Full stainless exhaust.
4 Pot brakes, and grooved/vented discs (1144 pads)
thatcham cat 1 clifford concept 300.
tracker.
hpi report when I bought car(clear)
65,000 Kilometers and 10,000 miles in this country. (you do the math)
16" gold alloys (MY98 5 spoke)and 4 good tyres.
It is in a local bodyshop at moment.
He says it will cost £1800 to repair. I am skint.
So I am going to sell it and if you want to repair it, go for it.
The body shop said if I get him the parts the bill will be considerably smaller, the shopping list is in the Wanted section.http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?ThreadID=66223
Once I get the digital camera sorted, I'll send pics.
Have a think,
Tubster.

Question

Hello Tubby

Is it possible to tell me how bad the crash damage is,
Is the car straight or does it need to be jigged. Has it got extensive body work damage, i.e every panel.
Many thanks Ed!

Cool

Erm,
The damage is mainly superficial.
We slid sideways down the road on ice, and at about 15 - 20 MPH hit a dry stone wall / tree drivers side.
One of many incidents at that wall that morning.
Even the tow truck slid on the ice coming to get us out.
(yes, We were going for it a few minutes before, but cooled off cos we were nearing our gaff).
As there seems to be no chassis damage, so couldnt be that bad an impact, have a little sympathy, as, I did with yer mam the other day!

Tubbs
I think the saying is....
I don't believe you wanted to do that.
Seriously folks this car is well clean and looked after and it drove absolutely spot on.
Somebody do the poor man a favour and take it off him , it'll save his life. Does the missus know yet?

Cheers
