I would say its not worth anything - seriously, even if you respace the letters / use a fancy font / add loads of different coloured number plate bolts it wont look like it says scooby.

I have the plate S100BYS, which looks a lot more like 'scoobys' as standard, and would look even more like it with a fancy font - I thought of selling it and the best offer I had was £150.
Maybe S222BEY wasnt sold to someone who wanted a scooby plate - could be it was their initials which would make it more desirable.

How does s888bey resemble scooby?
It begins with S and ends in Y and that's about it.
It doesn't have a C or any Os in it, the B is in the wrong place and there's an E in there too!

not too sure why it is supposed to resemble scooby or scoob or any connotation really.
Its value, who knows it does not exactly shout out a name either, ABBEY maybe but it just does not do it for me.
for it to work you should be able to 'get it' straight away - IMHO
Call one of the numerous people thast advertise plates and you might be lucky but chances are they will give you a generic valuation that they give all non descript plates and affoer to advertise it for you, it it was an obvious one they would snap it up and buy it.
So, stick it on ebay with a reserve you are comforable with and good luck.
