Default HDD based multi media player (1080p!!) with wi-fi and NDAS

Because I've upgraded I have an MVIX 760 HD Multi media player for sale.

Plays all kind of formats like iso, vob and avi.
Can play files off internal disk, usb disk/stick, network share via ethernet, network share via wi-fi.

It can output at 1080p via DVI and has optical out.

Can also function as an NDAS (networked drive) that you can access from a PC to copy files to the internal drive. I have the NDAS key which some retailers are charging 10 quid for.

It won't play .movs or mkvs but if you don't know what am mkv is, this is unlikely to affect you.

Full spec is at this place and they write it better than I can:
MvixUSA : Revolutionizing Portable Entertainment : Mvix Wireless Hi-Definition Media Player MX-760HD

Sells for 169 without a disk, SN special is 100 british pounds including a 200gig disk (plus postage if not picked up - SW London/Surrey).

Any questions, please ask....

You're not looking hard enough!

Do a google for popcorn hour or tvix 6500

Both use the next gen sigma chip.
mkv and other 264 formats are the way forward but until people have proper broadband without caps and legit content is published, it won't be for the general population.
There are camcorders available that record hd .264 but it's starting slow. Couple of years yet...

Only if you're sure, mkv is they forward...

To be honest, this is a good solid box with great connectivity but not cutting edge any more.
Just so you (and everyonen else) has got all the info, it'll stream standard def over wireless but not HD, not all HD will stream over wired and ISOs will only play from internal or usb disk.
I like it a lot but it has limitations, if I had a second TV, I'd keep it but it's just sitting idle.

Not a great sales pitch but I wouldn't want anyone to be dis-satisfied if they bought it.

You want it, it's yours.

Don't you hate poor timing.
Only just decided to keep the new one after two weeks of pricking about with it.

Deal done with stevebt I'm afraid if there was anyone else thinking about it.
