Default Modified STi8 Type UK - Whats its worth thread.

I'm contemplating the sale of the car due to lack of use. It really would pain me to see it go but considering this could soon become a third car I'm unsure whether its a luxury I really need.

I would appreciate some feedback on value. If its "peanuts" I'd keep it but would be nice to get some idea. Obviously if I got a decent offer could well be tempted so if you genuinely are in the market let me know.

53 plate STI Type UK

Engine
TD05 18G Turbo (supplied by Andy Forrest)
Revolution Decat Exhaust
RCM Downpipe
Harvey Smith Up Pipe
Harvey Smith Ported Headers
RCM 80 mm K&N Induction
3 Port Boost Solenoid
Uprated Forge Recirculating Dump Valve
Carbon Fibre Heat Shield
Uprated spark plugs
Uprated fuel pump
Everything Heat Wrapped
Turbo Blanket Fitted
Brand New Calcium Battery
Bob Rawle Remap (390/ 350 according to Delta Dash with graphs)

All parts are brand new and I have receipts for every modification. Owned for three years and was pretty much standard (less remap when I bought it). I’ve been lucky enough to be around this car for a few years.

Words cannot describe the condition of this motor! (I think that’s down to Rob’s obsession), wanted for nothing & has been absolutely pampered!

Both staggering performance & looks

Alot of money, time and thought has gone into this car, shame to see it go!

Someone could be very lucky indeed

I would put offers of £15k+

Cracking example.

If I were in the market, I would most definately have this off you and consider myself to have got a good deal at 15k! Wouldn't take any less than that for it mate.

All the best with the sale.

As it stands the car is probably worth £14-15,000, however book price is around £13,000 so I'd say you need to advertise the car well, Subaru owners know and appreciate the work you have put into the car, someone new to Subaru's will no doubt be looking to pay book price

Good luck with the sale

With those mods 15k all day long. That's my opinion. However I'd be tempted to remove a few bits and sell them separetely.

Nice!

I would say £14k...u may strugle to get more...due to the age of the car.....if it goes over £14K its in a new price band.....

Though you may find you need to strip out parts...tbh there are 1000's of Scoobies for sale..

But eitherway good luck with the sale...

Cheers Maz. Don't suppose you'd know anyone who wants to buy any of the bits do you

Thanks for the other comments. If I had to go as low as 14k some bits would definately be coming off (Defis etc) and Maz would be my new best friend

If anyone does want to make an offer willing to listen. Private plate would need to come off. Will have 7 months test left and 6 months tax. 40k service was done in September (mileage only 28.5k) so all up to date.

Similar mods?
Where's your £1200.00 uprated turbo; £1200.00 AST suspension; £500.00 carbon lip. Only has one previous owner

Only joking bud thanks for your input. On a serious note noticed this thread which looks like he may be on about your car.

https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...ti-2004-a.html

Yours is a nice example but its blue.......blacks faster and carries a premium (he says trying to convince himself)

Hope you manage to get sorted. I definately aint going that low. Did it sell in the end?

Beautiful car mate - was asking the same question about mine not too long ago, slightly older, similar mods except mine has a 2.5 built motor and is in the 400's. General concencus was around 13k which was a bit disappointing although 15k may be achievable..

At the end of the day though it's all down to finding the right buyer of course..

Personally, If it were me - I would try and sell as it is

It would be a shame to strip it back to standard, not to mention the money involved re buying the original parts

The Headers are the oem items mate just ported to improve spool etc. Relatively cheap mod which you get done yourself.
I have the original air box but would not want to remove the K&N filter as I'd need to remap again.

Your's is a stunning motor Pete. Surprised you got rid of the Forrester tbh but I'd certainly be happy with that sat in my garage. Thinks AP's will be on your list next

Cheers

Funny you should say that

Actually next on the list would be a set of AST's so if you're ever in need of a swap let me know
