hasnt the 22b got a vf22 turbo? i thought the sti tyrpe r had the vf23? if it is a vf22 il be bidding mate.

The 22B came standard with the VF23. The VF23 is a very quick spooling turbo that was very well suited to the 22B's extra cubic capacity.
The VF22 was actually an optional extra on the 22B and it had a lot more lag in standard form. The VF22 was the basis for the MD304 hybrid turbo made by Turbo Dynamics for Lateral Performance. This kept the standard VF22 compressor housing, however the exhaust housing was changed to a P18 and the compressor and exhaust wheels were uprated also.

is it a turbo capable of 310hp? plus is it a bolt on turbo for a my98 turbo 2000? oh and thanks for answering my question you learn something new everyday on this site.

Kyle the vf 23 will be perfect for you and easilly make 310bhp without a sweat,think they can make upto arround 340 with the correct mods/mapping !!,the vf 22 is the one thats on mine, well after lateral played with it as said above making it an MD304,not many about though but exellent turbo,oh and yes the VF23 will bolt straight on to yours,them headers wont be coming off mine till next weekend now if you still want them.
