The downpipe is standard OEM so has a CAT.

The ECU is standard MY99 un tampered but could be remapped if desired. It's the AE800 black label ECU which is the most desirable of the standard ECUs for anyone running a MY99/00 as it runs a marginally leaner fuel map, fraction more timing and a tad more boost which means more power and better fuel economy. £100 inc P&P. Would be good as a standard ECU or as a spare if you want to remap your current.

It will only fit MY99/00 mind.

Hi Phil,

As far as I'm aware it's just plug and play. Shouldn't need your key transponder re-programming.

If your's is a MY00 it is probably an AE802. The ecu is housed under the carpet in the passenger footwell.

Not had anyone else interested as yet so will take £90 for it incl. delivery.

Cheers,

Reza

I can confirm that providing your car is a 99/00 it will be plug and play.
I have done this to my MY00 and haven't regreted it. Before you comit though it is worth while checking you haven't got a AE801 which i believe where fitted to the later MY99 and early 00 and are as good if not better than the AE800.

The code is on the label on the front/top of the ecu so is easy to read (see link below):

A lot of people seem to rate the AE800 as the best OEM ecu (from reading up on here). How does the 801 differ/compare??

Everything you ever wanted to know from EcuTek's website - scroll down to sub-sub heading 'Code versions',,, 99/00MY OEM ECU Comparison

As a summery, 800/801 are all but the same and both run a more aggressive map than the later 802. That said, 800/801 actually runs rich (good!)... but 802 runs even richer!
