is the quote of £1300 plus parts or just labour
£5495 car
£1300 labour
£ parts
£250 to have the car registe
and if the car is a 1999 sva test
then you would have a car owing you
the same money as as a straight car
be honest would you ?
not pissing on your fire but saying it as it is
p.s evo 6 front end bits are very hard to source and have a high retail price
all said i would be intersted if you want to pm me a realistic price

i am sorry if my comment has been looked apon as not to the rules, i was mearly stating what i would personally give the seller if he found it difficult at current price advitised, in all honesty there may well be someone with say the parts to do this and this would thus be a bargin, i expect it was a lovely car before the accident, good luck with the sale.

thanks for the comments!
i am open to offers, i will not be PMing you with offers as you know the asking price.

Evo 6 parts can be located from MLR and Japperformanceparts.com
i am open to offers or PX as I would like a scooby again.
3.5K thats not nice my friend, its not a v2 wrx its an Evo 6! that runs and drives as normal, with the uprated HKS coilovers, prob worth £500 alone!

as for the parts it needs, from my memory
boot
bonnet
bumpers
slam panels
rear boot panel
"the rest will pull out" the guy said

I am in no rush to sell, If i dont sell I will keep it untill i am more financially stable.

but am open to offers

Hi there. Nice car. These type of sales are always so tempting :-) A few questions, I would pm, but I would imagine a few users are thinking the same, so will ask them here.

1) Have you ever removed the front bumper to inspect the damage there ? Did the body shop ? Same goes for the rear. Any ripels on the c pillars or roof ?

2) Their £1300 quote, was this on paper, or just quoted to you whilst standing looking at the car ?? Parts, have you properlly looked for these parts ?? again any quotes ?

3) You say it runs and drives ?? Have you driven it on trade plates ? How far have you driven it ?? What speed did you get up to / gear ??

4) Have you got any auction docs ? from the uk or japan ? How was this car brought, did you personally import it, or did you buy it from an agent ?? If it came through an auction then the damage would of been recorded on the auction sheet. Any mileage certification ?

5) You say its in your name (on the pistonheads advert) ? V5 ? if so then its been registered ? Or you've just got a reciept for the purchase of the car ?

I am interested, I live down in Worthing so not far away. Chady has a point, I regulary go to the auctions in s'hampton, and standard evo5/6's trade for £5.5K, however, this is inmaterial.

Hope to hear back, and read your answers.

1. I haven’t removed anything, the guy at the garage checked it over was on his back under it.
2. just word of mouth, but he said its not a problem as he would do that for whoever bought the car (I told him I cant afford to fix at the moment)
3. I have driven it about 100m and back, speeds 20-30ish
4. personal import (my project but finances wont allow) all paperwork present to prove its mine etc. was offered to me, not auction.
5. its in my name cos I paid the tax/duty and they have the Chassi number etc.

any other questions, I appreciate your post and yes this will help others and myself, rather than some people who post cos they are bored.

Thanks for your reply.

I have brought and fixed up a few JDM cars and the parts can be difficult, as 90% have front or rear impacts. Two very good scrappies though are Dewsbury Auto Salvage and Heathrow Jap Spares, in case anyone is looking. Also, the 24/7 web site is a saviour.

Although you start of thinking its just a front bumper that needs replacing, perhaps even a bonnet and a few modelings, before you know it, you find the rad is cracked, intercooler is broken, suspension arms, oil pipes, chassis legs, blah blah blah, hence why I asked if anyone has removed the fromt / rear bumpers. Its the height / angle of the front bonnet, after the impact which shows it was quite a hit. Also, the rear looks like its been well knocked too. As the car has never be truely driven, you never know if there are any other problems. So, this type of a sale could be described as `risky punt` albeit it a pretty safe one. Whats good is that there's no recording of the hits, so should be ok.

Im currently looking at a salvage m3 evo coupe, for a project car. If this doesnt go through, I'm inspecting it tonight, I will give you a shout and see if there's a deal here (dont say the price is what it is, everything is negoiable especially with salvage :-) ). If not, and I have another m3 to pi55 around with, then I wish you luck with the sale :-)

Cheers

Hi,

I brought the m3 last night. Couldnt help myself. :-) R plate, estril blue, 65K, smg (horses for course on that one ), leather, etc etc, 2 owners. Has had a front impact, so needs most of the front and a bit of straighting. Paid just under £4K for it. So, there are deals out there.

I spoke to a mate about ur evo, as he was looking for a project car himself. Will pm his details if he wants to do a deal.

thanks mate, yeah send me details.

I am open to offers on this and also i am open to px too.
I know that you are saying, but you check everything before you buy and its not a hard job to fix.
if you come and check it out you will see the rad doesnt leake nor is damaged, the intercooler is fine.
no chassi damage.
that is why i posted the pics as i did, so you can see all the damge and so you know i am not hiding anything

any inspection is welcome, again it starts and drives.

drove it down about a mile last night, still perfect

Hi,

Im sure the car is all intact and just requires body / panel work. I would be more interested in a deal if it was already registered, i.e. gone through its esva.

Looking into that, seems like there are only a few places which do that, southampton being the closest one to me ( im in worthing ). ESVA Prices are around £500 - £650 for that, perhaps a little cheaper if I do the work, but as your car is 90% standard, not sure if the exhaust would pass / emissions etc etc.

Thought about ebaying it ?

with all due respect if i svaed it and fixed it, why woudl I sell for 5.5K? it would be a perfect Evo 6 selling for 9Kish.
you offering me a deal if i fix and do all the work?

anyway, I am still open to offers in this, it will be sold as is, i cannt fix at the moment, I am in no rush to sell, Even if i store her away and work on her slowly i can have her fixed pretty easily.

some one offer me a good cash deal and take away a nice evo 6 project.

I am open to a px with a scooby, maybe i can get anther typeR like my old one?

BUMP for Sunday
