Default Subaru Impreza 2.0 WRX MY03 - One Owner - Wr Blue, PPP-Like performance

My pride and joy Subaru Impreza 2.0 WRX MY03 - One Owner (me!) - WR Blue that I personally imported from the EU (Belgium) is up for sale.

Best offer over £8,495 secures.

I've written up all the details and uploaded pictures on PistonHeads see: Subaru : Subaru Impreza 2.0 WRX MY03 - One Owner - WR Blue

Common questions & answers:

Q: What is your reason for sale?
A: I've always commuted to work. My company has moved another 6 junctions further away down the motorway so I'm doing a LOT of miles - about £8,000 per year in petrol at the moment! I've only ever used Optimax by the way. I'm selling to get a cheap hack for work, most likely an LPG car.

Q: Why is your mileage higher than average?
A: As above I've been commuting to work for over ten years every day in rush hour on a heavily congested motorway, so wear and tear is very light on tyres, suspension, brakes, etc. The car has a few stone chips on the front bumper as expected from over 4 years of motorway driving.

Q: How was the car serviced?
A: As per the Subaru service book. Went to the Subaru main dealers for the first three years then to my local Subaru specialist (Triton Motors) from then on. Much better service by the specialists. Things like the cambelt have already been done.

Q: What have you been towing with the towbar?
A: I have a small box trailer I use three or four times a year to take garden waist to my local dump - I'm not putting that lot in in the boot of my car. I've never towed anything else so no worries there.

Q: Why did you import?
A: One main reason, the seats! The new WRXs' in the UK now only have the 'Sports' seats not Subaru's optional extra 'Bucket' seats (with the bump in the middle) that I have enjoyed from Scooby ownership over the last 8 years. If you have a UK STi it's the same seats as those. If you're a very big person then they I recommend you look at a car with 'Sports' seats. These are my seats:

Q: Are EU cars any different than UK cars?
A: Nope no different. UK cars are EU cars. The UK simply don't allow customers to order the optional bucket seats - doh! Although run out now my car was even covered by Subaru's three year Warranty and three years Breakdown cover - never used it though.

Q: How are EU cars treated by insurance companies?
A: The same. The cost of my insurance is the same. Insurance companies treat EU cars and UK cars the same, because they are. Point to note that most insurance companies require a Tracker-type device fitted. Mine has this which I pay a subscription fee of around £100/year. This can be switched to the new owner.

Q: What mods have you got?
A: Decat downpipe, decat centerpipe, ECU remapped, PPP back box. Performance will be at least equal to that of a WRX PPP. I don't care for rolling roads so do not have any official figures. Recommend you drive a regular WRX then drive mine, you'll feel for yourself! I will also supply the original downpipe and centerpipe (with the CATs).

Any other questions just give me a shout.

Thanks for looking,
-Steve.
