What's the comparison between this car and an Sti? Equiv STi can be had for 14k, interested in differences as in market for sti or type-r but could be persuaded otherwise...

Hi Dubbs

RB5 - oficial UK car, can be serviced by main dealer, full UK dealer warrenty (which can be extended after first 3 years), limited edition car only 444 made, special colour paint not found on any UK cars, special colour blue interior trim, air con standard, quick shift gear change, fixed rear bulk head, white dials, special 17" alloys only found on RB5, PIAA driving lamps, holds price very well compaired to standard UK models (just look for Terzo, Catalunya, etc), easy to insure.

STi - only availbe grey import, set to run on 100 ron fuel, suspension not made for UK roads (too hard), hard to insure, no warrenty from main dealers, does not hold it's price due to above reasons, wipers and indicators are on the wrong side

Yes the STi is a quicker car but compare the two and the RB5 is a better buy and investment as it will hold a much better resale price compaired to a standard MY99 or an STi and it will be a much more sort after car due to it's unique-ness.

Why don't you pop up this weekend and have a look at it. Mail me off line for more information.

Question

Look really nice, has this car done any track day? are there any scuffs on alloys? would appreciate honesty of any scratches or nicks.

Hi Castjp

The car has done a few track days but has only stayed on the black stuff. I always use different tyres and brakes so the ones on the car have not seen a track. The alloys are in good condition. There are a couple of little marks on the alloys but nothing serious and the paint work is in very good condition (SuperGuard applied from new). Mail me at tim@rb5.net for more information. I live in Chelmsford so not too far for you to come and look at it.

Cheers

The lowest I can go is £15,500. The car does have a RAC TrackStar tracker fitted to it at the moment. If you would like that left on the car and fully paid up then I'll have to add £500. It is on their 0% finance offer at the mo and I can't transfer that to the new owner so I would have to either pay it up and leave it on the car or move it to my new car for a small transfer fee.

I'm able to do a quick sale if the price is right. The car is already to go!
