Hi All,

Up for a regretable sale is my 1998 MY99 (S - reg) UK impreza. Its the facelifted version so newer front bumper and 'MK2' interior with the momo wheel having the centre bit white. Has CAT1 alarm etc..

It is a proven 312.7bhp, has Full Subaru Service history, a folder full of receipts for the servicing, the book all stamped up, and loads of receipts for most of the modifications.

One of the cleanest and well kept Imprezas around with a Full and Comprehensive Service History. My UK Classic shape registered on December 14th 1998 , with a manufacturing year of 1999 benefits from the face lifted front bumper, face lifted interior and steering wheel.



WILL PX For the right car – FTO, BMW, PRELUDE plus cash my way please.



With an insurance group of just 17, these UK Impreza’s are easier and cheaper to insure than their Import counterparts. It only costs me £529 a year with all modifications declared and with protected no claims. Also getting parts from Subaru is easy with the chassis number being a UK one.



My Impreza has been expertly tuned with all the correct parts and servicing schedules carried out to ensure that it is running a safe 312.7BHP and 290ftLb of Torque at 1.45bar of boost.







With AWD and uprated suspension using the excellent standard shocks and uprated Eibach springs this Impreza has the handling and grip to match the power and torque from the engine through the driveline.

In the last month I have personally replaced the engine oil with a fully synthetic grade and fitted a new oil filter. I have replaced the rear discs with a set of new LockSpeed discs and fitted new rear pads, and also carried out a full vehicle inspection.I keep all receipts of parts bought and record the date and mileage as to when I did the work)



Included with all the service history are most receipts for the modifications carried out to the vehicle. Also I have the original vehicle brochures and vehicle options and price list!

Now on to the best bits – the engine and drivetrain!



As mentioned, this Impreza is putting out 312.7bhp and it does this easily by the aid of the following engine modifications:-



Engine Modifications:



* IHI VF35 Turbo. Fitted by Scoobyclinic December 2005. Has approx. 35,000miles on it. Same turbo as on a STI V8.
* ECUTEK Ecu 3 map, done by Pat Hepborn Dec 2005.
* Prodrive 3 port Boost Solenoid valve to allow for increased boost.
* FMIC – Front Mounted Intercooler, 3” Thick. Fitted around November 2005.
* Cold air induction kit by K&N.
* Hard Pipes for intercooler pipework with heat wrap around the pipe above the turbo.
* Samco hoses for high pressure connections.
* Bailey dump valve fitted on the inlet pipe before the throttle body.
* Cusco oil catch tank – plumbed in for recirculation with engine block.
* Walboro 255 fuel pump.
* Standard 440c injectors.
* Full 3” Magnex exhaust system including decatted pipework – emissions are below MOT level, so no need to replace the CAT’s.
* Billet lightened flywheel to reduce inertia mass on engine – weighs 6.8kg
* Uprated scoobyclinic fast road clutch.
* Magnecor spark plug leads.
* New radiator.
* 312BHP and 290lbft of Torque.







With all these engine modifications, the engine pulls very strong and hard. I never abuse the vehicle, and always let it warm up properly before I apply more throttle to open up the engine. It does not leak any oil or coolant and idles perfectly at around 750rpm.



Driveline:



The driveline is the standard AWD system developed over many years by SUBARU and works perfectly. The clutch has been uprated to take the additional power, it is heavier than most standard clutch’s but is purposeful. The diff oil has been replaced in 2006.

The diffs and driveshafts are in very good condition. There are no oil leaks from the diffs and no untoward noises from any of the drivetrain components.



Suspension:





The suspension is comprised of standard shock absorbers which are very good and made by KYB. The springs are lowered and are made by EIBACH. The match of Eibach and KYB is a well proven choice.



All the antiroll bar links have been replaced and so have all 4 CV gaitors.



New rear shocks fitted.



I have been all over the underneath of the car in the past week and inspected all bushes and joints and everything is good. No splits in any bushes.



Brakes:





Front:

Discs – 12 Grooved uprated 294mm Discs

Pads – A-Spec pads

Brake Lines – Goodridge Braided lines



Rear:

Discs – New Lockspeed discs fitted 26/4/08

Pads – Brand new pads fitted 11/05/08

Brake Lines – Goodridge Braided lines







Interior:



Spotless interior with only 1 small tear on the top of the dash board, just by the windscreen to the right of the driver. There was also once a hands free kit fitted to the car and has been removed leaving 4 small screw holes on the side of the centre console on the passengers side. Apart from this, all seats and carpets are in very very good condition with no rips or tears.







Features of the interior:



· Being a MY99 specification vehicle this Impreza benefits from a MK2 MOMO steering wheel.

· Passengers air bag

· Drivers air bag

· Drilled aluminum pedals – maybe aftermarket fit?

· Momo steering wheel

· Cold air-condition that actually works! Completely retro fitted in august 2005.

· Power Steering (PAS)

· White Dials

· Many storage compartments

· Blue/Grey cloth interior

· Electric windows

· Electric mirrors



Also this Impreza comes with:- Original Jack, spare wheel and toolkit.



Exterior:



Finished in beautiful MICA BLUE metallic, this blue has a lovely shine and looks immaculate. There are some small stone chips on the front bumper but please remember that the car is 9 years old.







It is fitted with 18” Rota GR alloy wheels finished in an anthracite colour, which contrast well with the blue and is not over the top like some gold wheels can be.



Externally the bodywork is standard. It has the medium level rear spoiler, and crystal clear front lights and orange side repeaters.



The rear is clean of all badges and stickers.



The bonnet has the standard bonnet scoop which is great to view from the drivers and passengers seat, and two side vents for added engine cooling.



ALL LIGHTS WORK including the front and rear fog lamps. No lenses have any cracks or moisture in them.



Stereo:



Head unit – Pioneer

Front Speakers – JBL with tweeters

Rear Speakers – Pioneer

Amp – Only the wiring is there including coax cabling.





Misc:



Mileage is 119358 miles but I do drive it every day to work so will go up but I do not cover many miles (12 per day in fact) and use the motorway for 6 of those miles Please don’t let the mileage deter you from this Impreza, I didn’t and with a FSSH it runs fine. I can guarantee that its one of the nicest out there amongst many dogs, and you would not be dissapointed.



MOT – December 7th 2008

Tax – Expires May 2008, but will be adding 6 months, or can reduce the price if sold before then?



It is HPI clear but please carry one out for your own peace of mind. I have my copy when I bought the car. The RAC check is a very good one!

2 former keepers, making me the 3rd owner.



Here is the dyno print out showing a proven 312.7 bhp – ignore the last digit of the reg, typo, but the owners name is the previous owner and I have paperwork and the V5 to prove this.. Please bear in mind that there are many Imprezas out there with claimed BHP figures over 300bhp but in order to get to this safely certain modifications need carrying out, these have all been done on my Impreza.

Not sure what you mean by 'has it had any paint'?
If you mean respray - not sure? There is one scratch that has been covered up. Some of the history way back shows that the front door (cant remember which) had a dent taken out so may have needed a spray??

Looking at your user id and location, are you the last owner of this Impreza?

Just seen your edit - yess the clutch is new (ish) - changed in 06 if i remember (paperwork not handy at the moment).

Yes - i did own this car. The clutch is not a paddle clutch. It's one of Scoobyclinics fast road clutches.

Over the weekend, i fitted new front brake discs (grooved and drilled) and new front brake pads. OEM replacment pads made by LUCAS, and uprated discs from graham goode racing.

Discs and pads still being run in for another 100miles.

Also, revised price slightly of £4700 and will include 6months tax.
