Yes its an STi version 5 Red Top Pictures below.

I've been told its a limited edition which was possibly originally designed for the Cyprus market. Ltd ed features include :-
  • RB5 Grey Paint Work
  • Yellow interior
  • Sun Roof
  • Air Con
  • Electric Ariel
  • Short shift gearbox
Log book shows it as been registered in the UK in 1999 as a New vehicle.

Same seats as a sport special..

Pretty sure all the sunroofs were a retro-fit job once they hit UK shores.. Didn't realise until I put a new headlining in my classic how many different sunroofs these had !

The car looks to be JDM wrx version 5, it has a rear wiper, the rev counter is in the centre rather than the speedo this only came like this on the jap models, it does not have headlamp washers in the bumper and it has jdm heater controls.

The car was probably bought over from Japan, when it was brand new and registered here.

I think some very late WRXs had these additions.

I've seen MY99/00 WRXs with the yellow inserts and the rev counter in the middle.

As for the STI engine, has it always been in there?

Looks very nice although the bumpers look an odd colour.

NO The Bumpers are definely the same colour as the Car
If you go to my web site you can click to supersize the images

This has got the RB5 'Cool Grey' Mettalic paint work, which has silver, grey & bluey mettalic fleck, so can look different colours from different angles & in different lights.
From one angle it can look Dark Silver, or Mettalic Gun Metal Grey, Yet from another angle it can look almost Blue.

I persaonally think it the best colour, as there are not many about in this colour.

Although the car was not at it cleanest when I took these, the photo's are also showing reflections of the driveway & the sky.....

No this is not the original engine - Although the original engine was also a Red Top - However when I first got the car 5 years ago I stupidly fuelled it on normal unleaded not Optimax (Shell V-power as it is Now) & you guessed it - it blow a piston As I had Only had it a few days the gargage replaced the engine for me.

To cut a long story short the garage messed up and Only put in a Standard WRX engine which caused a real lack of power. So I eventually replaced it again with the STi Engine.

In the summer of 2006 This STi Engine was completely re-built at great expense by Scooby Clinic, & The ECU Has been re-mapped to run safely on Shell V-Power.

Along with the re-tune, up-rated fuel pumps, stainless headers, de-cat, Titanium Exhaust etc etc... - It now runs extremely well with almost 320BHP there is loads of boost & plenty of tork whenever you want it

Thats a bold statement to say you have never actually looked around the Car???

I was told it was an Sti when I purchased it, & It drove completely different to a 2000 spec Standard WRX I previously owed.
It has the STi Red Top Engine - as said before Original was Also Red Top.
Its running at almost 320BHP - well above STi power
I'm aslo told its on RED Sti Suspension - Again this is original.
Also original Bonnet was the Light weight aluminium - since replaced with a normal one as a stupid un-insured To$$er slid up it on his illeagal mini moto.

Anyone who is genuinely interested in purchasing the car is welcome to come and have a good look around it......

That site simular to the one I got my info from....
Still does not have the exact model No. of B ? or option code EDC ?

As for not selling It's possibley due to fact this thread has turned into "What car is this?" , "are bumpers same colour?" rather than "Car for Sale"

So to Recap....

Need to check Vin Plate properly.
But what else is different on an STi?
It's the STi Engine, Dash, Suspension...
Its not STi Seats - But Limited Edition Seats -so something Unique.
Its Not got STi Fog Covers - But Crystal Fog Lights - which I personally think is better - I can never understand why the "top of the Range" has lights removed.
Its also not the Standard Subaru Badge - Its the blacky/greeny "I"
Its got no other badges.

- I prefer the de-badged standard look - with loads of "Hidden" Power
to the badged to the hilt in your face standard one with only a measely 220BHP.....

(& before anyone starts this is my personal preference & I did once own an X plate UK spec with only 220BHP)

Thanks for looking
