Default For Sale, My 1999 cool grey sti type R

Hi all.

I've just purchased a replacement for my Type R this afternoon, so its now up for sale.

I've owned the car since november last year, and it has been superb in every way possible,

The car had a full engine re-build in october 2007 due to spinning a bearing (details of this can be found further down the post)

Since owning the car i have changed a few things which i feel has improved it. These are as follows.

Roger Clark fast road geometory setup
Roger Clark full 3" exhaust system
Greddy v-spl front mounted intercooler kit
Genuine Lamco boost gauge
6000k hid headlights
Roger Clark induction kit
Whiteline control springs
Rays engineering te37 7.5 x 16" lightweight alloy wheels wrapped in Toyo T1-R's (6 - 7mm tread remaining)
And new o2 and maf sensors (a precautionary measure)

The car was previously owned by scoobynet members.

It also benifits from whiteline antiroll bars front and rear, whiteline droplinks and a whiteline anti lift kit.

Shocks are std red sti items.

As hopefully the pictures show, the car is a very nice example indeed.

The engine re-build was undertaken by scoobyteknix to the following specification at the cost of £4500. the car has done approx 8000 miles since then.

sti5 open deck clock
Eagle forged rods
New sti 8 cross drilled crankshaft
ACL race bearings (big and main)
ARP Bolts throughout
Roger Clark oil pump
Cosworth forged pistons
Cosworth steel headgaskets
Fully overhauled cylinder heads
Exedy clutch
new water pump
new modine
new radiator + all new belts
NGK Iridium plugs
HKS SSQV Version 2
255L/PH uprated fuel pump

Std calipers, with recent discs and pads all round

The car is running Std management and std boost and is producing a healthy 319.4bhp & 325 ft/lb of torque (dyno printouts included)

Loads of history and bills including engine rebuild etc etc....

Taxed until the end of july and mot'd until october if i remember correctly.

Milage is showing as just over 106k, however im uncertain as to how many of those are in km.

The car drives very nicely and pulls very strongly in every gear (as type R's should do).

Paintwork is very very nice (i do like to keep my cars clean)

The one and only small issue with the car is at very high rpm when changing into 5th, there is a slight crunch. I believe that this is a fairly common thing with version 5's, however it has never bothered me as the box is nice and quiet, and every other change is perfect.

Im an honest bloke so wanted to mention it.

Im looking for £8250 ono which i feel is reasonable for a type R of this condition and specification.

Feel free to call me on 07813584009 if you're interested, email me at briantallett@fsmail.net, or drop me a pm and i'll do my best to get back to you asap.

Im not looking for a px as the cars replacement is already sat in my garage.

Thanks for looking, Kind regards, Brian

I welcome any inspection at all (and p.s. the car will be sold on the rays te37's, as the regamasters are up for sale seperately)
