400bhp+ 2.5litre US spec bugeye wagon
I am posting this 2001 bugeye wagon for a friend ( Dannytwo ) who has no net AXX at the mo, this is the write up he did not so long ago …..
I have owned the car for about 2 year now, when i bought the car it had just had an engine rebuild by G-Force Motor sport (now DSA) The original engine was replaced with a Brand new American EJ25 2.5lt the hole conversion with over £40,000 spent, new turbo and a few more bits and bobs fitted by DSA in aysbury .the only thing it didn’t have was an uprated gearbox and clutch. Prior to this work, the main transplant was done by G-force motor sport.
So since i bought the car i have had a 6-speed gearbox and a AP twin plate clutch fitted.
The spec list is as follows….
2.5 litre US spec sti engine
omega pistons
Arrow H conrods
APS SR40 turbo
3.5in APS exhaust system
DR500 front mount intercooler
inner wing induction kit
twin vent blow-off valve
650 sard injectors
up rated aluminium radiator
GEMS em20 ecu mapped by Steve Simpson
Eibach lowering springs with group N geometry
AP brakes with 350m discs- 6 pots
18in speed lines corsa
morette quad headlights
momo wheel
centre carbon pod with defi gauges, boost, oil pressure, oil temp
+ loads more,
The car is running 395 bhp with 420ft torque!
It has run at 409 bhp but the torque figure was only 385ft.
This car has been feature in the Japanese performance magazine issue 44, and voted one of the top ten best scoobys in 2005.
The car drives very smoothly through every gear which is unusual for such a high spec car
Its hard to explain the power delivery, I have driven fast cars before but the is in a different league.
This also is a family car, believe it or not! I have to young children.
This is my every day car and wanted something that was family orientated but also was powerful with the reliability factor.
If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask
I would ideally like it to go to a car enthusiast, as i have looked after this car and would hope that the next owner will do the same.
Feel free to post on the thread as I’ll be watching this for or give him a call on 07875479670
Thank you for looking.
