Dual P4 Xeon Workstation/Server
Hi,
As per the title, I have a custom built workstation/server unit for sale.
It has served as my development/design machine for sometime and I cannot fault it however I have now got a laptop so the workstation is surplus to my needs.
Here is the spec:
Yeong Yang Server Cube Case (black) YeongYang - YY-0221 Workstation / Server - Professional manufacturer of computer case
ASUS PC-DL Deluxe Motherboard (ASUSTeK Computer Inc.)
2 x Intel Prestonia P4 Xeon Processors (3.0Ghz, 533Mhz Bus, 512MB Cache, Hyperthreading, SSE2)
2 x Intel Xeon Heatsink + Fan Units
4 x 1GB Samsung DDR Memory Modules (4GB Max)
Soundblaster Audigy PCI Soundcard
Leadtek nVidia 5950 Ultra AGP Pro Graphics card (256bit, 256MB ram)
Taggan 480W Silent PSU
1 x 120GB Deskstar Main Drive
2 x 120GB Raid0 Deskstar Drives
USB 2.0 Ports, Firewire etc
The sale is for the workstation unit only (supplied with a keyboard). I can also supply a custom BIOS file I created that allows you to use the 64bit Nocona Xeon CPU's on the motherboard if required.
The system has been running faultlessly, overclocked safely up to 3.5Ghz per CPU without any operational issues. Currently has a set of fast IDE drives fitted however can handle onboard SATA raid if required.
It would make an ideal Linux or Windows 2003 Server and has never complained no matter what I throw at it. The CPU's show up as 4 CPU's in Windows due to hyperthreading, this can easily be disabled in BIOS.
This is an exceptionally fast machine, considering it's age it still puts to shame many of the new dual core systems.
The unit is quite heavy so collection only (Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire), looking for £120 or nearest offer. Will be supplied with drivers, motherboard box and manuals.
Thanks for looking,
Fz

Modded PC-DL bios
Hi Finalzero. I was wondering if you can send those modded PC-DL files to me or somebody to host. datamine(dot)tk is no longer up and the files can no longer be downloaded for trial. I'm trying to get a pair of SL8EWs to work in my PC-DL board. I don't want to swap my motherboard with a NCCH...and they are hard to find anyway. If possible, please email the .bin files to me ocpals(at)hotmail.com. If you don't want them hosted, I wont. Tell me, either way. Many thanks in advance.
