Hi, just sold my prodrive backbox and will need to post next week ....

can someone give me a rough idea of how much it may cost, and do I take it to the post office or use a courier???

I have sent one via royal mail before, took it to the post office and cost me about 14 pounds to send. Just have to make sure you use plenty of bubble rap!!!

If you go to the post office they will send it by Standard Parcel probably. It takes 3-5 working days usually. I'm not sure of the weight of the back box but if it is over 10kg it will cost you £14.26. That price goes up to 20kg so should cover it. If you want insurance added on £1 will cover you up to £100, £2.25 will cover up to £250.

I've posted and been sent some exhaust parts that way and its been fine. Even a bike exhust which looked like some sort of large gun when wrapped up.

This link should show you the weight and price levels.
