Default P1 PPG GEARBOX

Decided to strip my P1 back to as standard as I can to reduce price to sell or trade it in so selling my PPG kit fitted gearbox from my P1.

Would need a replacement box as trade in, one thats compatable with the P1(5 SPEED) and doesn't have any failures, ie crunching going into gears, noises etc.

These are £3k new which is what it cost me to get the kit fitted. I'm looking for as close to £2k plus your box as trade in for it.

The kit was fitted in Nov 2007 by Zen Performance and has only covered approx 3k since build. These kit will take up to approx 600bhp and similar torque so save yourself a grand!!!!

Contact Nigel on 07976780915 for info, based in SW Scotland. Cheers.

My man, could be interested in this. I have a MY06 WRX with a newly built standard box that has done only 3k. Can you tell me if your PPG will fit mine? Let me know

Don't know what forks were fitted, think its the oe ones. Couldn't tell you if it would fit an 06 plate. If it did then would need to swap rear diff and possibly driveshafts as well.

I can vouch for this box, the IDEAL box to buy if you're upgrading your classic STI.

Would you be interested in a straight swap for a 6 speed box?

No banny sorry just looking for std box + cash. Think for the type R it would need the rear diff swapped as well but might be wrong. Best ask Paul at Zen Performance, he'll know exactly what it'll fit.

Cheers for the enquiries guys.

And at a good price too, benefit over the 6 speed is the weight saving too

5 speed probably but unless the rear diff is same ratio as P1 then that and prop/drive shafts would need changing as well.

do you know if this will fit to a 1999 uk classic ?

I am actually considering getting my gearbox PPG's with Helical gears so this would be a big saving for me. didnt plan on doing it until next year tho..

tempt me!

Only if you change the rear diff as well, by a complete coincidence I have a P1 rear LSD for sale if you are interested.

Thanks

Yes it probably would fit but think your box would be too soft for the P1 m8 as the P1 standard internals are sti items to cope with the power.
