Default ** SOLD ** Red 2003 WRX Blobeye for sale

2003 ‘03’ plate in nice shiny Red

I am the third owner, the first owner was S&S Subaru in Ayr (the car was used as a demo for approx. 2 months) then it belonged to a family from Ayrshire.

Mileage at 30th June 2008 is 47,440.Full dealer service history, also had an additional oil & filter change at 25 & 35K by Hypertech, then 45K by Ian Grieve.

The car was MOT’d in Mid-March 2008 and the tax runs out on 30th September 2008. I have loads of receipts for various parts & I have ALWAYS used V-Power/Optimax

Modifications:
· Prodrive lowering springs, fitted by S&S Subaru, geometry done by Hypertech in Spring 2008.
· Set of 4 18” KEI Racing Force 10 alloys in ‘Hypersilver’ – all good condition Fitted with TOYO T1 225x40 tyres. LOADS of tread left. Rears are T1S and front are T1R – front two put on the car 29-11-07. I use these as my winter wheels so they do have a couple of minor scratches here & there, no kerb marks though.
· Goodridge braided brake hoses (I’ve painted the calipers in red with white lettering)
· Scoobyworld Ninja backbox
· STI replica rear boot spoiler (fitted by S&S when it was a demonstrator)
· High-level roof spoiler (sourced from Revolution & colour-coded by Stevie Walkers Bodyshop)
· Windows tinted
· Pioneer & Genesis ICE install – includes large amp & sub in the boot, CD Tuner head unit, 6-CD Multi-changer and Pioneer custom-fits in all 4 doors.
· Red & White sunstrip (cost me £65 for supply & fit)
· Almost brand-new floor mats – black with red piping
· PIAA Window Wipers
· Front upper strut brace
· Green panel filter (new at early March 2007)
· De-tango front headlights, Silvatech bulbs fitted front & rear
· STI front fog-light covers with white “stars & swooshes” graphics
· STI front bumper corner pieces
· Scott-Lowe front lip spoiler
· Side-skirts colour-coded by Derek @ A F Nobles
· WR1 front grille set (upper and lower – these cost over £200)
· Revolution upper-grille surround, colour-coded (inc. Subaru badge) by Stevie Walker
· Scott Lowe red mudflaps with white stars & swooshes graphics (metal brackets colour-coded by me in Spring 2008)
· H&S de-resonated centre section and cat-delete pipe (2 separate pipes)
· New Battery in late Feb. 2007
· Boot de-badged & de-locked for that smooth look.

Extra’s included in sale:
· Spare KEI Force 10 alloy wheel (no tyre) – this has been professionally repaired by Coatech after I kerbed it (approx 1” repair)
· Standard back-box, centre section and rear-most cat pipe.
· Surrounds for the front fog lights
· Set of 4 18” White “Tarmac” style alloys with VERY decent Toyo 225 tyres (these are currently fitted to the car)
· Set of 4 wheel bags

The car made 249.1bhp & 232lb/ft at Dastek in early 2006, no other engine mods since then.

Many people in the Scottish section of SIDC will testify that this car has been well looked after during the 3 years I’ve owned it – I’ve spent a tidy sum on various polishes and waxes, as well as trips to Stevie Walkers Bodyshop to have various parts colour-coded etc (never bumped, crashed or scratched though).

Bad bits:
Very few. SLIGHT dent on near-side rear door, right on the very edge though, not in the middle of the panel so it’s really difficult to see. The usual stonechips too on the front, but VERY few – probably no more than 6 in total. All have been touched-in CAREFULLY with a Subaru paint pen.

The only thing that will be removed from the car is the private registration plate and the iPod – the adaptor to connect the iPod to the Pioneer head unit will stay.

There is no outstanding finance on the car. Feel free to HPI check it, you wont find any problems.

I’ve looked at the used car locator on Home | Subaru (UK) Ltd official website - Home of the Forester, Impreza, Justy, Legacy, Outback and Tribeca (Mon 30th June) and there are 3 similar WRX’s on there:
· WR Blue WRX 4-door March 2003 03-plate with 66,553 miles - £9,495 (Carisle)
· WR Blue WRX 4-door March 2003 03-plate with 69,000 miles - £9,995 (Bristol)
· Silver WRX 4-door April 2003 03-plate with 57,000 miles - £8,995 (Leeds)

Ideally I’m looking for offers around £8500 for the car as it stands minus the private plate & the iPod, including all the ‘spares’ though. Car is for sale due to the Mrs having our 1st baby back in Jan 08 and now thats he's on maternity leave with no plans to go back to work anytime soon the Subaru doesn't get used (I use her car most of the time). I was also made redundant in August.

Anyone interested? If so send me a PM me or email/MSN me: andy_oobAThotmail.com

Is £9,250 unrealistic in the current economic climate?

Price is negotiable - £9,250 was what I thought it was worth based on similar-aged (but standard) cars on the Subaru used car search last week. If anyone is interested in the car then make me an offer!

Don't normally post with regards to price, but you should be aware there is another 2003 Red WRX in here with very similar spec for just £6900 ono and its a very clean, as he is still stuggling to sell it.

Great time for buyers, nightmare for sellers.

Yep that was mine which i just sold yesterday for £6700,what i did was removed my omp wheel, dump valve, turbo timer and sold them on beforehand for £300,so i suppose i got £7k in the end, whether you could do the same to recoup a bit of the price back,as rob says its a buyers dream at the moment, good luck with selling m8 cracking car.back to the top for ya.
