MINT 340 bhp STI V5.....BIG END GONE!!!
Ok, i'm going to try and sell the car as is at the mo with the big ends gone but if i get no luck then i will break the car as i will get back over 6K for the car.
The car is an ex graham goode owned car and has very low mileage at just 55,000. It's mot'd till march 09 and tax till end of october. Has a toad alarm/imob and a tracker, the car has had loads spent on it and the condition of the car is excellent. The car was pushing out 340bhp.
The car has a very good spec and this year alone has had a new gearbox, new clutch, lightend fly wheel and new diffs all fitted by scooby clinic costing around 3K and have the reciepts for all this. Also it had the brembo brakes fitted with brand new performance friction 326mm discs about 2 months ago at a cost of £1200, receipts for this also. The turbo is a graham goode hybrid VF29 which costs £1600. this car has a high spec and to the right person could be an easy fix and you will have a mint STI V5
I'm looking for £4000 for the car as is.
the spec of the car is as follows
STI V5 in Royal Silver

Graham Goode VF29 Hybrid Turbo
3" HKS Super Dragger exhaust system

That is a nice looking car
Shame about the engine, any idea what caused the failure? engine looks very clean, if anything the paint on the manifold is still there which will indicate either the low miles or a recent build.
Very good luck with teh sale but i have to say you will be better of keeping it as £4500 for a non runner at the moment is , i'm looking at a version 5 type r for £5500 this weekend

It might not either, probably cheaper to go for a 2.5 conversion. This costs about £3500 if you don't do the labour yourself.
I might be interested in the rolling chassis/bodywork & gearbox if you decide to break

Well off she goes, my car was picked up by API today and off to be repaired, cant wait to have it back as i'm missing the scoob like mad, especially as my mates just bought a black sti v5.
Here she is sat on the drive feeling sorry for herself, lol
And here she is being driven onto the trailer and driven away
I'm going up to API next thursday to talk over my options, thinking of having a front mount intercooler fitted while it up there but not sure yet as i dont know if 340 bhp warrants having a FMIC?

A front mount will get you an extra 10-15hp (more if you run more than 1.4 bar boost) but will increase lag. Personally I wouldnt go for a front mount but I would get the headers looked at, get a ported set with up pipe from Harvey (or do them yourself). It makes a big difference.
