Default MRSIMPSON's sti is for sale :(

It's time to sell my beloved Subaru, for a variety of reasons, lack of use, london roads, moving home and my long long legs have made me decide to sell my car on. Hopefully to a another equally obsessed owner.

I'm going to try and remember all the work I've had done, the car has featured on a few threads, I'll try and find the links and post them up too.

So work and history...

I bought the car in July 2007 from Motorpoint in Hull, at the time it was cheap and I was new to Subaru so I didn't know it was a Maltese import until I got it home.

So First job for me was to write to Subaru and get them to send me a letter confirming that the car is still covered by the warranty (I have the letter still).

Second was new original spec tyres.

Next I had to get a tracker fitted as Euro imports don't have them, they do have Toad alarms though. So I had a Cobra Tracker fitted as at the time it was the only tracker to cover Europe.

Next up I sent the car to Whifbitz to have a Blitz Nur Spec RX exhaust, same power as the legendary Spec R without the crazy sound, it's still very loud but only at very high revs, nice burble though. While the car was at Whifbitz I had Tein S-Tech lowering springs fitted.

I then took the car to have a new stereo fitted - and that turned into a complete nightmare, with several interior scratches - I'm quite obsessed with the car so I had to have the panels replaced as I couldn't live with the scratches, so at a cost of over £1000 I had new passenger door panels and a glovebox fitted by Subaru.

Well the stereo I had fitted was terrible, so I took the car to AutoAudio to have a serious stereo fitted. Not a max power stereo, I wanted the speakers to fit within the Subaru door panels and AutoAudio did the rest. These guys usually work on Supercar system installs (check out their website). Well the stereo cost me over £3000, and sounds amazing and most importantly you can't tell its there visually, apart from the sub through the ski hatch. I'll add here that I also had the car soundproofed so no rattling door skins or spoiler, and not much sound on the outside.

So with two amps now installed in the boot, the car needed some more power, so Powerengineering helped with an Ecu-tek upgrade and K&N panel filter, power went up to 350bhp.

Next a trip to Powerstation for their excellent four wheel alignment, sorted out the steering.

And there it was left for a while, well apart from a trip to Southend for a full detail (I'll try and find the forum link and post it up).

Eventually I decided that I wanted better brakes, so yet another trip, this time to Cardiff to get some Godspeed discs and Mintex Extreme pads fitted, and Goodridge Brake lines and Dot5 fluid. (This was about 3 months ago).

Then it was time for a bigger upgrade and about a 2 months ago I had the incredible Tein Monoflex Coilovers fitted at Powerengineering.

And that's the cars history, I may have missed something though!

So to summarise the car is;

A 2006 Sti Hawkeye
Blue
Original wheels (all have slight kerbing will be reflected in the price)
Tyres will need changed soon (again reflected in price)
Bodywork excellent but has about two tiny dents in the passenger side (can try and take pics, but it may not show, I'm very picky)
Interior is excellent, apart from the plastic on the door frame that separates the front and rear doors drivers side (Can probably be sorted, I would replace the panel it's only small and will be cheap to buy)
Alpine Type R audio system with Forrester pocket and Ipod connection
Tein Coilovers
Ecu-tek
K&N panel filter
Goodridge lines
Godspeed disks
Mintex pads
Blitz exhaust
The car has done 30k miles, and has full service history - the previous owner didn't live near a Subaru dealer so it's specialist until I got it and then it's Subaru serviced.

I still have the original suspension and the replaced panels which the buyer can have if they like and keep or sell whatever.

I'm looking for offers around £14,000 which I believe is a good price as I've spent over £8000 making it a superb package.

Hopefully someone will get more use out of it than I can, it's an amazing car, so fingers crossed.
