JDM WRX early classic EJ20 lump for bits/repair?
Hi guys and gals,
Well, the somewhat mangled engine out of my N-reg (pre-facelift) classic has been removed after it decided to lunch a bearing, break a rod and generally tick over it's last... I haven't taken it apart to assess the internal damage fully but one of the cylinders is pretty knackered so I doubt much is salvageable. Not so sure about the heads though...?
The inlet manifold, sparkies, coil packs, injectors, fuel rails, etc etc are all spot on though, as are the (std) headers and up-pipe. I'd say the cams are OK, and I also have an alternator and an aircon pump in 61K miles condition. I'll break/remove as many bits as people need, so PM or reply with the bits you're after, with some half-decent offers and I will send them out! Also, if someone wants the block then you can have it, maybe someone doing a project build or after a spare...? I'm located in Bridgend, South Wales for anyone who is interested in collecting bits.
