NO its NOT a padlock!!!!

Its MUCH, MUCH better than that.......................

Its a ................

Now, I do NOT NEED to sell this, but it is taking up a third of the garage and I WANT the space! its pedigree is second to NONE, I have ALL its MOT's, ALL its service history, the service book is FULLY stamped up, its in great condition for 15 years old, I have popped it up on the 4-poster and its clean as a whistle underneath, the interior is excellent, the body is as you can see (no sprayed/rusty/tarted up panels) - its as straight as a die AND joking aside it IS good fun. Its totally original too - a little lesson to those modifying freaks!!

The price is £1200 - pocket change you have GOT to admit!!

It does 36mpg too!!!!!!! I KNOW !!!!! heres us with our Imprezas turning in 20mpg!!

It pays for its 'Classic Car insurance' in the saving in petrol over 3000 miles!! Insurance as a 'Classic' car for me is £220 Fully Comp!!!

We have had all the hairdressers comments before, and yes I enjoyed the laugh, but you know what happened - so, could we keep this one sweet?? Just tell me how good these cars are, how you really would love it if it was nearer you, how you would offer me twice as much if you had the money!!! ANYTHING but DONT be rude

a great looking car - sounds like its in really good nick too. I bought one for my ex-girlfriend about 6 years ago and it was the best car we've ever had, apart from the scoob :-) Great fun especially as the right weather is on the way - hopefully......

fingers crossed

well pete, if i had the money and lived near you i would LOVE to offer you twice the asking price....but as it is i'll have to pass on it

actually your car looks in bloody good nick! my mate is trying to sell his. what a **** heap! he was asking too much, and will only get about £700. his is falling to bits, rusty, and the roofs ripped. yours looks immaculate. good luck with the sale, someone out there will want this car, and why not, good cheap fun.

These piccies were taken about two weeks ago on the ONLY sunny day in MONTHS, I literally just wheeled her out of the garage where she has laid for the winter, took the pictures and wheeled her back in - with a polish and clean she will look great!!

I looked at about 35 when I bought this one - there are some real tired old examples out there (My work colleague has the best one I have EVER seen) its a G plate XR3i Cabbie with a genuine 39000 miles on it!! now, his is a minter!! (and he may be selling it - but he will want around £2500 ...... its worth every penny mind you!)

Mine is just Excellent!!

99000 - I can hear you keel over!! even cars from 1987 can go to 150000 miles without trouble!!

As I said, totally straight, mileage can be GUARANTEED - on a 15 year old car!! amazing you must admit! you could always buy one that says 40,000miles, but with no history who knows what the TRUE reading is!!

Regular services are EVERYTHING - anyone who knows about cars knows that simple fact and this has been serviced as a religion - no missing stamps. Had its cambelt replaced last June, together with ALL the hydraulic tappets (2 were ticking - which ones? who knows? so the LOT were replaced!) new Alternator in July 2001.

Its so cheap to maintain that its not worth trying to skimp on anything! I put my Impreza in for a service and it can cost £400!! that kinda puts it into perspective doesnt it?

The Impreza loses the value of this car every, what? 3 MONTHS!!! ha ha ha who are the mugs? us or those who run these type cars as their main car?? its debateable dont you think??

Sorry Pete but I just realised...those are not the original "Ghia" wheel trims (I used to have a minter a few years back as a run around and that DID have the correct trims fitted)

Because of this MAJOR problem I think the value of it has dropped

Its no longer worth the £1200, its now only worth £1195

IMHO

I'd definitely have it except it's missing a vital piece of trim from the boot hinge. Oh well, guess I'll just have to keep looking.

Well spotted - YOU win the prize!!!!

You are the lucky reader who has won a test drive!!

It needs that missing peice (to BE missing) or I would have to advertise it as in 'Concours' condition ............ and you KNOW how that scares people off!!

Pete
