I might be missing something here, but is 3" not huge for an up-pipe???? 
What turbo is this suited to?
I had to change my 52mm (circa 2") to a 47mm to increase the velocity of the air flow to the turbo in order to aid spool up.

Well if it wasn't suited then, i don't understand why they made it! Ive never seen and complaints about them tbh either!
It's suited for a TD05 TD04 as stated in the listing and maybe others!
I don't know anything else as never fitted it to the car and no longer own the car and is collecting dust now!
