Exclamation STI RA for sale 380 BHP RACE SPEC

Subaru Impreza WRX STI RA

If you're looking for an STI RA (Rally Altered) then you will know the difference between a normal STI and the STI RA:- Closed deck block, stronger turbo, 5th Injector, DCCD, Seriously Lightened, Roof Vent, Factory 300bhp ....... etc...etc

This car would make a perfect track day, sprinting or race/rally car or mental Ferrari beating road car.

It has been used on the road and only ever seen one track day at Brands Hatch where it was faster than every single car other than the Radicals.

To put this car into perspective; it weighs 1020kg which is the same as a small hatchback like a 206 but it has 380BHP. An Impreza P1 weighs 1750kg and makes 280BHP, so you can see the difference!

This car does 0-60 in 3.9 seconds!!!

With a top speed of 155mph!

FULL ENGINE AND GEARBOX REBUILD 4,000 miles ago.

• Apexi Power air induction Kit including resonator box replacement pipe
• Z32 Air Flow Meter/MAF (Up rated)
• Front Mounted Intercooler (FMIC) Autobahn 88
• Walbro fuel pump (255lph)
• FSE fuel regulator
• Parallel fuel rails
• Apexi Power FC ECU & commander (mapped to 380bhp @ 1.44bar by Simon at Jolly Green Monster)
• New closed deck block form API
• TEG Group A competition head gaskets
• New Pistons + rings
• New hardened crank
• New conrods
• ACL racing bearings
• Competition oil pump
• ARC – WRC high capacity baffled ali sump
• Lightened crank, power steering & alternator pulleys (blue)
• TEG Balance and lightened flywheel
• Single plate paddle clutch (Rated for over 400bhp)
• Ceramic coated competition 4-1 unequal length headers (exhaust manifold) & up pipe in one. (keeps the beautiful Subaru sound)
• De-cat down pipe (heat wrapped) and I will also give you the standard one for MOT's.
• Stealth turbo blanket
• Full stainless steel exhaust system
• Custom made belt covers and engine plates (see photo's)
• Fully rebuilt STI RA short ratio - quick shift box, with a straight cut first gear, helical cut 2nd,3rd,4th and a long 5th gear from a Subaru Forester This means that in 5th on a motorway at 70mph the car is doing 3200rpm not revving at 4,300rpm the standard 5th gear makes. Also makes a safe top speed of 155mph. Built by Kent Transmission Centre.
• Spare rear diff in casing and light weight STI RA prop.
• Front strut brace - STI RA carbon fibre
• Rear strut brace – Cusco
• Braded stainless steel break hoses
• Up-rated Subaru STI 4 pot callipers
• Brand new drilled and grooved racing discs & Ferodo DS3000 competition pads, only just fitted.
• 4 wheels in gold (Standard STI RA ones) & 4 wheels in white on the car in the photo. The gold wheels have a set of Goodyear Eagle F1's which have only done half a day's track day at Brands Hatch. So will last another 2-3 track days (they cost £300)
• Car was undercoated by Subaru as imports do not come with undercoat weather protection. Unprotected cars last one winter of salty roads in the UK and the car starts to rot.
• Sparco suede steering wheel and Sparco gear ****
• Competition oil pressure sensor with warning light
• Clear front indicators side and front.
• High level spoiler
• Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser
• Remote starter so you can warm the car before driving it. Security safe if someone tries to put it in gear or take the handbrake off without the key in, the ignition cuts the engine.
• Turbo timer
• CD player
• Air Conditioning
• Lockwood White dials
• Speedo converted into MPH & derestricted

I have receipts for all work done / parts bought.

Even though the speedo shows 72,000 miles it has only done 45,000 miles as I converted the original dials from kilometres to miles when I fitted the white dial kit and speedo converter 4,000 miles ago but I could not change the display of 72,000.

Due to the age of the car it is out side the governments new tax bracket so you will only have to pay £185 a year to tax it. Thats a big tax saving over the newer Scoobys.

Taxed until April 2009 and next MOT is due at the end of March 2009.

This car is my pride and joy and has been meticulously looked after by someone who is very mechanically minded. I am very gutted after spending thousands and thousands of pounds on this car with lots of blood sweat and tears that I am going to have to part with it. My girlfriend and I are buying our first house and I need to use the capital from my car to aid with our deposit.

This car is an absolute steal at £7,750 ono

Is it still on the standard TD05, if yes imo you will be lucky to get 380bhp out it.

I am sure it is a lovely car, some photos would help.

I myself have a prepped RA running approx 350 on a td05 at 1.55 bar. To get 380 is unheard of as far as I am aware. Mine may weigh slightly more as it is caged ready for logbooking, but then again it is completely stripped.

What lap times did you get on the indy circuit?
