Nice.

Does the engine put out any extra horses over the standard big 6 in a 535i?

The Alpinas are the same 3.5 M30 engine but handbuilt by Alpina with strengthned Mahle pistons etc. Also they are 254BHP not 211BHP like the 535i. Other bits include fly by wire throttle (not cable) with ASC (traction).

Hmm..

I have had a couple of B10's and they have both had sports trim in them.. Yours hasnt,it was called "comfort" option trim on the 535i sport..

The car has a lot of things that point towards it being genuine, but just the odd thing that doesnt really tally up..(seats,exhaust and front bib and rear number plate surround)..

The only sure way was too get chassis number and call Sytners in Nottingham..

If its a replica, its a bloody good one.. And if its not,its still worth near the money..

Looks a great car to be honest... If it had proper trim in there i would be having a bid

"hpi says its just a 535i sport auto. so is it a replica?"
In the mid 1990's they started to put the alpina model on the v5 before that they put what the vehicle was based on ie 535i sport

"The car has a lot of things that point towards it being genuine, but just the odd thing that doesnt really tally up..(seats,exhaust and front bib and rear number plate surround).."
The seats were fitted as a option as are a lot of things on alpinas, the exhaust has alpina stamped on each part of the full system inc. the downpipe, front bib and rear no. plate another option. If you look on the alpina register you will see all the other b10's have all different kinds of equipment, there's no real continuity.

M5 clock's fitted aswell ??
The clocks say alpina on them not m5

I hope that answers all your questions and comments.
I did a lot of research before I bought this and spoke to a previous owner who had it in the 90's who bought the vehicle from bmw as a alpina.
Why would some one go to all the trouble of fitting a alpina engine with traction control, a full alpina exhaust, buying genuine wheels, suspension, putting dealer stickers in the windows and where would you get a alpina plauqe and clocks from?
If you know please tell me so I can start making more fake cars!!
