Yaqin MC10L Valve amp may swap Plasma/LCD
Having a shufty about at home and selling off a few bits of Hi fi..
So selling this..........
The chinese EL34's have been replaced with a quad of matched Cryo treated russian Svetlana EL34 with the halo getter and round dimple in the top of the glass. The sonic improvement with this mod was astounding. The tubes are well burnt in and I have always kept an eye on the bias adjustment. At present when at full working temperature the cathode current is set at 37.5 ma on each valve.
Has outputs for 4 and 8 ohm speakers (can only use one at a time) to ensure the best anode to anode load impedance is allways presented to the output valves.
Bias adjustment is easily done with the supplied tool and a standard digital volt meter. Compared to my transistor amps it is so warm to the ear. With careful polishing comes up to a high shine. Looks really smart at night when all lit up. Will attract attention from everyone who sees or hears it.
Comes with both sets of valves,instruction manual and bias adjusting tool.........
One of the RCA output connectors on the rear has the outer shell adrift.It was caused by a damaged interconnect,a new one will prob be £20 fitted,all the others work great though,so absolutely no prob unless your want to run 4 components all at once.
This has only ever driven a CD player...
Controls are simple. Volume, input selector and bias adjustment.
